You see these types of signs everywhere really. It seems like they use tiles wherever it's possible. Good idea, too.

Tilework

This whimsical tilework dates from 1960 and was designed by Rowland Emett. It decorates the side of a car park in the London 'new town' of Hemel Hempstead. Its 'listed', grade II.

Last Saturday we went to Damai Grove at Punggol to visit a Eubiq demostration that one of the forumer in the Punggol forum has organised at his house with the Eubiq distributor.

With still some time to go for the demo, we decided to head down to our house to see if there is anything inside since our ID's project manager, whom we are liasing now as our ID is overseas, told us the tiles are already placed in the house.

As we opened the door... Surprise surprise! Piles of sand are already placed in our flat!

It's hard to get a sense for how large this door is and the intricacies of the tilework around it, but it's amazing.

Tilework on a shop in the St Michel district of Bordeaux, executed 2005 by Michel Henault of Arcachon. Presumably the shop was originally the Cluchard pharmacy, though it now sells Moroccan caftans.
