Waist deep in water trying to find different summer sunset compositions, Erdek, Turkey

It’s been awhile since I posted any rope. I know, weird subject but there is just something about it that grabs my attention. Yeah, it’s definitely the textures but I also feel like it has seen stuff, lived a whole life, and has good stories to tell. Not sure it’s normal to give inanimate objects ‘life’ but that’s where my head goes every time!

After one full week of virtual learning with my kids I’m so ready for Friday! May even tie one on. (Kidding!!!) :-)

Happy Friday all!!! I hope you have a great weekend!!!

It wasn’t until I started going through my ties to choose one to wear for an event a few days ago that I realised just how many feature a dot of some sort. Geometrical shapes featured heavily with parallel lines and circles in the majority! So this is just an interesting trio incorporating dots in the design.

This tie was bought for me many years ago and has languished at the back of the wardrobe, never to be worn! I hated the zigzag pattern and the colours. It is finally being put to use with this theme today!

Ella was the type to lean a little more towards ‘live and let live’ when given the chance, but she didn’t take lightly being cheated or otherwise done wrong. It was the principal of the thing that she tended to take issue with. Even on the wrong side of the law, she still had a moral compass, though perhaps it didn’t always point due north.

Ella had met her share of shady characters throughout her travels. There was always some degree of dishonesty to a man, she reckoned, but it was all about how much you could live with at the end of the day.

Unfortunately, they’d pin these little tin stars to just about anyone’s chest that would have them, and sadly, hiding behind that little star tended to make a slightly bent man break completely bad.

Ella could wager the lawman had no clue what he was doing when he made eyes for the dappled stud she rode into town on, and she had hard money on the fact that he had no idea what he was calling down on himself when he pulled his gun on her, telling her she’d make it to see another day if she just handed over the reins. Little did he know…

There were few things she held in high regard these days, with all the hard living she’d come to know so well, but Mille and the dappled palomino were two things she held dearest. A history of loyalty had tied them together, and it would take more than some twisted town sheriff to pull them apart.

There are times when knowing when to fold means living to see another day, and though the reins about burned her hand as she handed them over, she knew she’d be seeing the man again, and very soon.

It's been a while since I've done a true Star Wars model. Here's my first TIE!

Based on the TIE Seeker model by Elliot Davis on Artstation, and the bulk of the cockpit shaping is from Inthert. Unfortunately the triangle tiles on the s-foils were flipped around in Mecabricks and I didn't notice until it was too late.

I hope to build this model IRL, but the high Bricklink price tag makes me want to find a solution for the more expensive parts first.

I don't know what possessed me to tie a load of knots into spaghetti for Macro Mondays 'Knots' theme. it was messy! This is a figure of eight knot which appeals to me and was possible to do with pasta.

Been outdoors for some vintage shooting with the vintage minolta MD 50mm lens which meant manual focus on my X-T4. Been around lake of constance and took this image. An old yellow boat got tied up besides the harbour. This lens is over 40 Years old and still in very good shape. It feels great to shoot manual and getting back to the roots of photography.

Because of the serial number i can date my lens to be produced in the late 70`s. Probably 1978 or 1979.

Pilatus Love Ties

Pilatus (also often referred to Mount Pilatus) is a mountain massif overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland. It is composed of several peaks, of which the highest (2,128 m (6,982 ft)) is named Tomlishorn

Pilatus, is one of the most legendary places in Central Switzerland. And one of the most beautiful. On a clear day the mountain offers a panoramic view of 73 Alpine peaks

Because the peaks are so steep, traversing around them called for tunneling a pathway into the mountain. In a couple of sections, the tunnel broke through the mountain wall, rendering both the inspiration and photo for “A Cave With A View”.

From the outside, those windows invoke the eyes of the old man of the mountain.

From the inside, folks commemorate their love at the top of the world with a combination of the traditional lock and the non-traditional "tie".

Pretty beetroot bow-tie pasta. I can never resist buying pasta in different shapes and colours - I now have a large selection taking up space in two of my kitchen cupboards. Luckily some does get eaten!
