Coreopsis, also known as Tickseed, is an easy to grow perennial that loves full sun and can thrive in many types of soil. I always see them everywhere but didn't know the name, until today that I searched online.

A little busy today, tomorrow will be a better day!🙋‍♀️

Thanks for your visit and taking the time to comment so I can visit your photos, too... very much appreciated! Have a great day!

I planted these from wildflower seeds in the first butterfly garden

11 years ago, I transfer some of them here next to the pond to fill the void left them pulling my flowers, this is another quick fix of the mess they make every year.

Cut flowers from a flowerbed close to the pond.

An older shot. It seems any day is a good day to show a flower.

I think we are most beatiful when we smile so please smile.

Macro of our mini sunflower. Not sure what variety this is. We are back into our rainy season, but I am not complaining because we need it badly!

One of my friends identified this flower. It is tickseed, also known as coreopsis. Thank you Nancy!

Hope this brings you a sunny outlook on your day!

Back in Florida for a few months to escape the cold. First trip to Circle B Bar Reserve, the yellow wildflower Coreopsis was everywhere. This is Floridas State Wildflower . I saw more flowers than birds today.

Happy New Year.

Have a beautiful day my friends!

Tickseed (Coreopsis levenworthii) is Florida's State Wildflower.

I have planted two varieties of Coreopsis in my garden, one of which is very similar to this Coreopsis species. It will reseed itself for next year's "crop", but the seed heads attract Goldfinches that put on a show each evening as they voraciously devour the fresh seeds.
