If you look close this Short-Eared Owl gave a vole a free ride - wonder what the vole thought of the trip.
One of the things to do while visiting scenic Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania is to take a delightful train ride through the area. But, alas, we did not being that we were on a pretty tight schedule. But, let me tell you, the Pocono Mountain area, and this gorge area is quite beautiful, and I'm sure the train ride would be too. Here's a little marketing info about it I pulled off Mother Internet:
Lehigh Gorge trains, a trademark of the Reading and Northern Railroad, take a 70 minute round-trip tour following the Lehigh River over bridges, through Glen Onoko, into the Lehigh Gorge State Park. High-rising cliffs and mountain scenery surround the train along the route to Old Penn Haven. You will see hikers, rafters, mountain bikers, and wildlife along the railroad. You will learn about railroad lore, wildlife, the history of the anthracite coal region, and the people who launched America into the Industrial Age.

The Royal Greenhouses of Laeken, designed in 1873,were built by the architect Alphonse Balat in the park adjoining the Royal Palace of Laeken on the initiative of King Leopold II.
They have been open to the public every spring for two to three weeks for over a hundred years.
This year, for the first time, the visit could be combined with a stroll through the gardens of the Royal Estate.
The 140,000 tickets available were sold out in a single afternoon!
