This is from last years NHRA at Thunder Valley in Bristol TN. First year ever going there and I had a blast. It's coming up this weekend again and I cannot wait to get back out there and get some shots!

An afternoon at Thunder Valley. I decided to branch out, tell me what you think?

The age old knock on NASCAR is that it is "not a sport" as all they do is go left in circles. Bristol Motor Speedway exemplifies why it is truly a sport. Imagine driving around your neighborhood caul-de-sac 500 times. Then add 42 of your neighbors. Then add 33 degrees of banking (represented above). Then accelerate to 140 miles per hour which adds 3G's of force on the driver. I think it takes an athlete to accomplish that task.

You gotta whoop-it-up for your driver if you want them to win on Bristol's bullring. Don't question it, just do it. By golly, it works as this fan waves Matt Kenseth to victory in the August Night Race.

John Force starting his run during 2nd Round Funny Car Qualifying with header flames strong at this point.

On this run he would have some right side cylinders out later in his run as he crossed the tunnel and drifted toward the centerline and had to lift, narrowly not crossing the centerline. Sparks from the left-side headers were seen as they contacted the race track near the centerline downtrack after crossing the tunnel.
