Throwback to winter but entered this photo in a show recently and it speaks real volume to me.

Muscle car from the Pismo Beach Car Classic 2022.

In the modern age of hard, cold, bland bar stools, I love a good leather throwback. These vintage leather stools at the Embassy Lounge in Denver, CO, caught my eye as I walked by the open door. Luring me in, I enjoyed several wonderful hours in a low-key spot (in a trendy location). I haven't been back since because it's not very close. But this pic reminds me of what a lovely place this is, and I need to make another trip to the River North area.

Missing the winter greens of New Zealand today. Hard to believe it was 6 months ago already!

Ah the good ole days. Sharpie abounds.

I don't usually do TbT but this one seemed to warrant it.

Watchmen minifigs I made probably back in 2010 or 11, and apparently thought they were good enough to document. Ha.

I'm not gonna list parts and stuff, instead I'm gonna get to work on making updated figs.

Let me know what you think of my past endeavors!

Shot a mere five months ago while driving to the Death Valley National Park, this photo feels like it was taken a decade ago with the current COVID-19 situation and other stuff going on.

Big power for a coal train: Because it was expected the two big UP GE locomotives wouldn't be sufficient power to haul their loaded coal train up Byron Hill, the crew picked up a Wisconsin Central GP-7 that had been set out at the north end of the Duplainville siding. This may have been the last time the venerable geep was used in revenue service.

This week we are going back seventeen years to 2008, and to RV 621 on Frederick Street North with a service on route 40C from Finglas.

Route 40C started running between the city centre and Finglas in 1973. Its terminus was in Finglas South on Ratoath Road, and it may have been the first bus route in Dublin to use the C suffix. The route ceased to operate in 1995 when route 40 went over to CitySwift, but had returned by 2000, this time running between the city centre and Finglas Place. In 2003 it was extended north to St. Margaret's Road. The route ceased to operate in 2009, when it and route 40B were replaced by new route 240. This was part of the network rationalisation to reduce costs. However, teh route number unofficially lived on and was used on short workings on route 40 which terminated in city centre and did not complete the full journey.

RV 621 was new to Dublin Bus in 1999. It was withdrawn towards the end of 2012, and subsequently disposed of.

Being a fan of horns, I couldn't miss out on this. BNSF 8052, which sports a rare Nathan Airchime K5HLB, was on the Becker coal rotation. On this day, I lucked out and they didn't tie down in Staples and went straight through to Becker. Here they are as they slowly enter the Sherburne County Generating Station on this nice May day (5/13/2022)

I found this image in some old photos and I remember when I took this photo, it was bitterly cold evening and my last photography class. The view of Winnipeg was beautiful.

They've been played, scratched, broken, collected but most of all, loved. Vinyl records opened our ears to great music and remain the format of choice for audiophiles. So let's celebrate them.

The theme for this week's Flickr #TBT is #Records. Share your best loved photos on our Facebook post, and we will show our faves next week in the Flickr Blog.

Amtrak ACS-64 no. 662 (Siemens, 2012-2016) with train 161(21) passes over Astoria-Ditmars Blvd subway station on a sunny February afternoon. This scene is reminiscent of what could have been seen decades ago, with R46 cars built by Pullman-Standard from 1975-1978, Amfleet cars built in 1975, and AEM-7 locomotives built in 1978 wearing Phase III paint that debuted in 1976! The details are, of course, slightly different, with the ACS-64 locomotive, the Train Sim 2 ad, and the details of the station, which has recently undergone renovation.
