I'm all alone in the dark now baby ...I'm all alone in the dark now baby ...I'm all alone on my knees at last...Alone in the dark ...'cause i want you with me ...And you're not here ...So I rub my nose in it babe ...I'm all alone in the dark now baby ...I'm all alone in the dark now baby ...I'm all alone and drawing whiskey...Alone in the dark ... around one day and you were gone ...Alone in the dark baby, I'm all alone... all alone, I'm all alone ...Since the night you left...
Lyrics: "Alone in the Dark" by John Hiatt

As a photographer, beauty is never far—it’s always around us, waiting to be noticed. This frame captures the delicate lacework of wildflowers glowing in sunlight, a reminder that even the simplest subjects hold infinite wonder. With a patient eye and curious heart, the world offers endless stories to capture. Photography is not about searching far, but about seeing what’s near and letting nature reveal its quiet poetry through the lens.
Photographed at Zoo Boise, this crane was cleaning himself and paused only momentarily enabling me to capture this pose.
