One of the deepest canyons in the world with a good path high above the Yangtze River to get away from the throbbing roar of the river and inexpensive accommodations along the way. Other deep canyons in the world such as the Grand Canyon in America don’t have cheap hotels and restaurants along inner canyon trails like this does.

A moment in the life of a Venetian gondolier, one of the heart throbs of the romantic city. It takes training, practice and connections to be one, but then you are the heart and soul of Venice.

What better way to break in a new pair of heels than a night out on the town. I probably walked 20 blocks window shopping on this wonderful evening. Now they are properly broken-in and ready to go on their next big adventure.

These little beauties are called "Heart Throb" by Hollywood Heels.

Nomad 4: The Market:

Nomad walks out of the apartment building and out onto the street. The cloudiness begins to lift, his head starts to clear. His memory though eludes him completely. Still unsure of what happened or why he has a bump that feels fresh and causing the throbbing pain throughout his head.

He walks for what feels like 15 minutes without a destination. He turns the corner to see a street market. He can smell the familiar aroma of the nearby Asian foods. “I could use something to eat, it all smells so good. I hope there’s some Youtiao here”

He comes up to a vendor, looks at the woman, lifts two fingers, “two please.” The man pulls out his wallet. He rummages through the large amounts of cash for a $100L bill. “John, would you like a drink with that?” he hears faintly. As he is closing the wallet, he notices no credit cards or identification or anything other than cash. “John, a drink?” Sliding his wallet into his pocket he looks up seeing the woman looking at him waiting for an answer “John?” she asks. He replies… “Who?”

Endre Ady:

The black piano

Crazy strings: they neigh, and boom and whine.

Away with you, unless you have some wine!

This is the black piano!

The blind tickler - tears into the keys

These are life's bitter melodies.

This is the black piano.

My buzzing head, my tearful eyes,

The wake of my wrestling desires,

all this, all this: the black piano.

My drunk, crazy heart pumps my blood

Beating in time with the throbbing flood

this is the black piano.

Couldn't see Them and

couldn't smell Them.

Could hear their footsteps ,

could hear them run to find safety.. Two of Them.

Could hear their breathing , panting, shivering..

Could hear their heartbeat throbbing under their chest , racing , sound of fear.. Two of Them.

Two of them played hide and seek , for me them to find.

It were Two of Them , the Game came to a delicious End.

Come Play , Come Play .. It were Two of Them.

Out on the tar plains, the glides are moving

All looking for a new place to drive

You sit beside me, so newly charming

Sweating dew drops glisten, freshing your side

And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind

The front of your dress all shadowy-lined

And the droning engine throbs in time

With your beating heart

Way down the lane away, living for another day

The aphids swarm up in the drifting haze

Swim seagull in the sky

Towards that hollow western isle

My envied lady holds you fast in her gaze

And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind

The front of your dress all shadowy-lined

And the droning engine throbs in time

With your beating heart

And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind

The front of your dress all shadowy-lined

And the droning engine throbs in time

With your beating heart

Sing blue silver

And watching lovers part, I feel you smiling

What glass splinters lie so deep in your mind

To tear out from your eyes

With a thought to stiffen brooding lies

And I'll only watch you leave me further behind

And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind

The front of your dress all shadowy-lined

And the droning engine throbs in time

With your beating heart

Once I thought that I was in control

But that was just another trick of fate

Playing with my life

There have been some times

I was so tied up

And I said to myself

Gotta break it all

But didn't really try

Two hearts beating in this place you've made

You know nothing changes my Antarctica

You can make your rhymes

And paint your rules

In black and white

For me to memorize

But never understand

And there will be time

For a thousand vows

Oh a thousand promises

We forgot

To be realized

Two hearts beating in this place you've made

You know nothing changes my Antarctica

One life pumping

We make love to make our heat

And we throb in my Antarctica

We'll keep the rhythm going

And we'll remember

We'll keep the laughter flowing

And we'll remember

We let the music jangle

And we'll remember

Two hearts beating in this place you've made

You know nothing changes my Antarctica

One life pumping

We make love to make our heat

And we throb in my Antarctica

Caught and sheltered this is what we made

You know I will stay here

In Antarctica

And you

Will stay here

With me

“There is never a time or place for true love. It happens accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, throbbing moment.”

― Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever

At dusk the window panes grew grey;

The wet world vanished in the gloom;

The dim and silver end of day

Scarce glimmered through the little room.

And all my sins were told; I said

Such things to her who knew not sin—

The sharp ache throbbing in my head,

The fever running high within.

I touched with pain her purity;

Sin’s darker sense I could not bring:

My soul was black as night to me;

To her I was a wounded thing.

I needed love no words could say;

She drew me softly nigh her chair,

My head upon her knees to lay,

With cool hands that caressed my hair.

She sat with hands as if to bless,

And looked with grave, ethereal eyes;

Ensouled by ancient Quietness,

A gentle priestess of the Wise.

I thank you all so much for your support!

Together we are!

Oh, Dear, together we are!

I gently caress your heart,

Am I your heart-throb?

Ready to share your pains and happiness,

Am I your soulmate?

Then…

Who am I, for whom you are precious...?

I carry my ‘joy’ in my heart!

I am your shadow, a true friend.

I worship you like a devotee so ardent,

I’m with you through thick and thin,

I irritate the daylights out of you,

Then…

Who am I, for whom you are precious...?

I’m by your side, a truth I realize!

Hold my fingers and guide me through,

Let the love so pure and sublime…

Flow and flow and flow for ever!

Together we are till eternity,

Then…

You are mine, for whom you are precious!

The Hunter

~Edgar Albert Guest~

Cheek that is tanned to the wind of the north.

Body that jests at the bite of the cold,

Limbs that are eager and strong to go forth

Into the wilds and the ways of the bold;

Red blood that pulses and throbs in the veins,

Ears that love silences better than noise;

Strength of the forest and health of the plains;

These the rewards that the hunter enjoys.

Forests were ever the cradles of men;

Manhood is born of a kinship with trees.

Whence shall come brave hearts and stout muscles, when

Woods have made way for our cities of ease?

Oh, do you wonder that stalwarts return

Yearly to hark to the whispering oaks?

'Tis for the brave days of old that they yearn:

These are the splendors the hunter invokes.

Mientras las ondas de la luz al beso

palpiten encendidas,

mientras el sol las desgarradas nubes

de fuego y oro vista,

mientras el aire en su regazo lleve

perfumes y armonías,

mientras haya en el mundo primavera,

¡habrá poesía!

Fragment from: rhyme IV

Author: Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer

As the light waves to the kiss

throb on,

While the sun the torn clouds

of fire and gold seen,

as long as the air in your lap carries

perfumes and harmonies,

as long as there is spring in the world,

There will be poetry!

The first kiss. The one that comes after, (The hurry up and take it slow)

Something worth waiting for.

~*~ The first kiss ~*~

Soft moist lips touch for the first time.

This feeding of their spirits

Seems to last forever.

Together they enter eternity.

The wonder of this magic moment

Fills them with amazement.

The warm gentle touch

As soft as a baby's blanket

Grows into a small spark

Of a fire that begins to burn.

Shivers of feelings

Race through bodies

That drink in the hot wine

Of desire.

Eyes open slowly

To stare into

The universe

Of another soul.

Wet throbbing lips

Smile

With the joy of

That first kiss.

Happy is whoever hails its descent, nobler than a dream, to our eyes! I remember! I’ve seen all, flower, furrow, fountain,

swoon beneath its look, like a throbbing heart…

- Let’s run quickly, it’s late, towards the horizon,

to catch at least one slanting ray as it departs!"

"And when he arrived, he smiled, giving me that comfort in disguise. He embraced me in a loud silence. I suddenly couldn't breathe. My heart is running a marathon. I feel paralyzed and I couldn't comprehend this feeling inside. My nerves are screaming and my head is throbbing with doubt, unrest, turmoil, anxiety... Will the noises ever stop? Will this nightmare be my forever friend? Is he the reason fueling my fear?"

P.S. I usually always remember my nightmares as opposed to regular/good dreams. It is strange really and I don't understand why sometimes. Somehow nightmares just tend to engulf you whole and the sensation is hard to get over. Maybe that is why it gets harder to sleep some days. It is hard to say what your subconsciousness is trying to tell you.

Note: Thank you kindly for the teddy bear, Bunneh!

Frogs are not unlike humans in that individuals have very different personalities. Some are terrified of people, screeching and diving under water at the first hint of proximity. With others, one can gradually forge a relationship of trust.

Wild frogs of the right temperament can be slowly approached by gently talking to them with a musical voice. They may not understand words but can sense intent within tonalities and over time become familiar with certain notes.

I built such a bond of trust with the tree frog in this photo during the summer of 2023. With dew lap throbbing in response to my greetings, it remained comfortable as I got very close with my camera.

The unloading floor at the top of the shaft...

After the mining of the raw coal underground it was loaded in underground train wagons which were transported by trains to the shaft below.

The powerful elevator machine hoisted the wheight of 50 tons from the bottom of the mine to the unloading floor at a speed of 75 km per hour.

On the unloading floor, the wagons were turned over and the raw coal was transported by conveyer belts to the coal washing plant for futher processing.

After emptying the train wagons they were automaticly driven back into the shaft by rail at the other side.

In this way, 50 tons of raw coal was brought to the surface every two minutes.

In the middle behind the steel bumpers is the open shaft mouth with a depth of 750 meters.

It is easy to see that the shaft towers were gigantic steel collosi, and in the space surrounding it was a hellish noise of throbbing iron and heavy clouds of coal dust.

An eager smile is painted on his lips,

The heart beat of hope throbbing so loud,

He will finally not be lonely any longer,

Despite the countless failures before,

Broken promises passed through his aching soul,

Ruined trust from selfish intentions,

Toxic fingers dipping into his mind,

Yet, Here he was with open arms,

Completely ready to accept you,

Silencing the demons that were chattering in his ears,

Whispering of disaster, abandonment and lies,

Oh how he wished they would just disappear,

Perhaps he should have listened?

Though his nature is pure and just,

No matter if you forget about his existence,

Just a quiet explosion from within his being,

A repulsion to allow others to share his burden,

A crimson smile seems more safer to wear these days...

"The voice emotion "

The voice illuminates the word that is born dark inside, flies without wings, unites without matter, builds bridges of tight complicity.

The voice vibrates between your body and mine, pulls smiles to the corner of my mouth, thin your absence.

The voice is flapping, throbbing among the echoes of loneliness.

The voice rescues from the fear left by words that only have faces but without eyes, or nose, or lips.

The voice is your voice, that which lives between the cords of your soul and your neck.

and, my heart's throb right there ♥

There was something about this one. Something about the vitality with which his blood pulsed - he could feel it under his palm. The tighter he held his throat, the more acute the sensation, the faint tickle turning to a distinct throb. A throb he found...gratifyingly erratic.

Fear, yes. A man would have to be daft not to be chilled to the bone to find himself in this position. But there was something else. Something in the tight coil of muscles. In the arrow-straightness of his back and the resolute, unflnching way he responded. Fight, he determined. That pulse under his palm brimmed with adrenaline, and the body against him almost vibrated with it.

It's been a long time since that word, fight, had come his way. The meat market was full of the petrified and the sniveling. Bravado died early, all reduced to begging, bargaining, bartering. This brand of stoic silence, resolute to break free? Thinking he had a snowball's chance in hell? It was endearing, in a way. But mostly...mostly it was exciting.

The prospect of whittling it out...

"They all break," he murmured the words into the man's ear, his nose brushing the side of his head for that faint whiff. His own scent mixed with the day he now wore on him, his fear, his fight - a warm, heady cocktail. He exhaled, slow and calculated, letting his breath touch and disturb as his hand moved back up to clutch the man by the jaw, blunt nails once again digging into flesh, turning it for a better look.

An interesting face. Compelling. He made a mental note to leave it unmarked. When the inevitable happened and it was time to pass him on, pliant and acquiescent, that face would keep him valuable.

Everything else though. Everything else was fair game, he reflected with a knowing smirk. The challenge should be fun.

Some time later, like a preverse repeat of the one-sided conversation, he surveyed his handywork. Reasonably bruised and battered, he'd exerted his will. But that face, that face remained unblemished. It regarded him with a gimlet eye, tired but still unfliching.

So it was to be only round one, then.

"They all break," he reiterated.

... , and I felt I was being granted glimpses of blood pulsing silently through the ventricles of an immense human heart.

The Secret Of The Universe

AN ODE

(By a Western Spinning Dervish)

I SPIN, I spin, around, around,

And close my eyes,

And let the bile arise

From the sacred region of the soul’s Profound;

Then gaze upon the world; how strange! how new!

The earth and heaven are one,

The horizon-line is gone,

The sky how green! the land how fair and blue!

Perplexing items fade from my large view,

And thought which vexed me with its false and true

Is swallowed up in Intuition; this,

This is the sole true mode

Of reaching God,

And gaining the universal synthesis

Which makes All—One; while fools with peering eyes

Dissect, divide, and vainly analyse.

So round, and round, and round again!

How the whole globe swells within my brain,

The stars inside my lids appear,

The murmur of the spheres I hear

Throbbing and beating in each ear;

Right in my navel I can feel

The centre of the world’s great wheel.

Ah peace divine, bliss dear and deep,

No stay, no stop,

Like any top

Whirling with swiftest speed, I sleep.

O ye devout ones round me coming,

Listen! I think that I am humming;

No utterance of the servile mind

With poor chop-logic rules agreeing

Here shall ye find,

But inarticulate burr of man’s unsundered being.

Ah, could we but devise some plan,

Some patent jack by which a man

Might hold himself ever in harmony

With the great whole, and spin perpetually,

As all things spin

Without, within,

As Time spins off into Eternity,

And Space into the inane Immensity,

And the Finite into God’s Infinity,

Spin, spin, spin, spin.

The surgically implanted comm, seemingly hardwired into his brain, pulsed again, the message filling his mind like an audible migraine, somewhere between a buzz and an ache.

...

Kill Boss

...

It really didn't help that he had no idea who of where this Boss was, let alone why he was supposed to kill him. But kill him he would, anything for the chance to remove the stifling helm that appeared to be bolted directly to his spine.

...

Kill Boss

...

His hand tingled, the synthskin glove throbbing and almost alive, a previously inert surface lighting up. Stopping, he raised the hand, looking down, watching the hazy outline of a hologram appear. The target. The Boss.

An abstract created out of a photo of a tree bark

The moment the doctor said what he said, everything made sense.

The persistent throb in my back, the days of no energy.

The way most of us learn to live with the pain.

Are you hurting? every moment of every day?

We learn to put on a brave face and say "I'm ok, I'll be fine."
