Artist Statement:

This is the moment the subject no longer resists conditioning.

The coils are neither mechanical nor organic. They are the memory of decisions made under surveillance.

The room isn’t a chamber. It’s a threshold—

between the body and its mirrored twin,

between the known and the coded.

This is not a self-portrait, but it is personal.

Artist Statement:

We spend our lives brushing against versions of ourselves —

some darker,

some undone,

some nearly whole.

This work captures a moment suspended in recognition. The woman does not recoil from her reflection. She studies it — damaged, visceral, truthful. In this suspended closeness, there is neither judgment nor resolution. Only curiosity.

Artist Statement:

In The Threshold Knows My Name, I explore the moment before irreversible transformation. The door, open but uninviting, is a liminal space where chaos howls at your back and the unknown stretches ahead. The figure doesn’t run; they walk steadily, deliberately across a tide of red that speaks of loss, violence, or personal cost. The birds are not companions but memories in revolt, writhing around the frame like a storm of consequences. This piece is about stepping into truth, despite what it asks of you. It is about answering when destiny calls you by your true name.

Artist Statement:

Threshold of the Knowing is about the moment right before change takes hold before language fails, before certainty evaporates. The figure stands poised between two worlds: the curated, velvet-trimmed interior and the elemental, uninviting exterior. The red door does not open to comfort, but to confrontation. There is no road. No promise. Only mud and sky and the sense that something will be revealed not in what is seen, but in what must be walked through. This is the portrait of transformation not yet understood. This is the silence before impact.

We walk toward what we do not name.

I built these towers with my silence.

They do not ask me to explain myself.

Only to enter.

This image is not about arrival.

It is about the fact that you came at all.

Threshold Logic explores the moment just before decision.

Not the decision itself — but the geometry of hesitation.

The corridor is a mind. The light, a false clarity. The figure, caught between surrender and knowing.

I wanted to create a space where absence is the main actor, and light doesn’t illuminate truth — it threatens it.

Artist Statement:

The Threshold of Becoming is an image of reckoning a symbolic passage through the chaos of identity, grief, and rebirth. The man walks alone, yet the path is alive around him, shifting violently like red memories, red blood, red silk. The sky does not promise safety, only change. This piece speaks to the sacred violence of transformation. What is left behind burns in waves; what lies ahead is unknown. And yet, the only way forward is through. This is a meditation on the moment when you walk into the storm willingly, knowing you will not return the same.

Artist Statement:

Some places are not meant to be reached only crossed.

“The Threshold Knows No Saints” is a meditation on liminal spaces: those blackened corridors between what was survived and what is still unknown. Here, the figure steps not into light, but into ambiguity. The red fragments shrouds, spirits, past selves drift upward, caught between release and return.

This piece does not promise transformation. It offers only motion. I wanted the viewer to feel that quiet unease that happens right after the storm breaks—when it’s unclear whether it’s over, or only just begun.

The terrain is not earth. It is memory. And memory has no saints.

Before the choice. Before the journey. Before the first step—there is this moment.

In “The Threshold,” I wanted to hold stillness without inertia. The piece is about that in-between state: when you’re no longer where you were, but not quite where you’re going. It’s not liminal—it’s loaded. A pause, yes, but not without consequence.

I used deep contrasts to heighten the sense of passage. The light isn’t just directional—it’s emotional. It doesn’t show you the way; it dares you to take it.

In “Threshold of Disappearance,” I explore the moment the body forgets where it ends. Vapor becomes skin, and skin becomes memory. The figure is suspended not vanishing, but becoming something else. The parted lips and slightly exposed teeth suggest life, tension, a breath caught between longing and dissolution.

This is not death. It is transformation.

It is the moment before a whisper vanishes into air.

"What It Takes to Enter"

This piece is a meditation on the tension between agency and annihilation. The path glows, not with promise, but with the memory of decisions made. The encroaching walls are textured like muscle, like thought—pressing in, not to crush, but to test.

The figure walks not into darkness, but into a becoming—a threshold made of resistance.

“Threshold No. 3”

This piece investigates the architecture of decision. Three spheres represent the remnants of choice — red not as danger, but as attention, as refusal to vanish. The lone figure stands not at the end, but on the seam between what was selected and what was surrendered.

“Threshold Doctrine”

What we carry into the unknown often defines us more than what we leave behind. Threshold Doctrine suspends the symbol of rebellion — wrapped, silenced, and burning — at the cusp of transformation. The flame is controlled, the object still volatile. This is a portrait of hesitation at the mouth of change.

Not every escape is clean.

This is a portrait of passage — where moldy walls and standing water give way to deep space. The woman isn’t running; she’s choosing. Wading through the ruin of the known, she moves toward something bigger than understanding.

This is not a dream. It’s the cost of arrival.

Artist Statement:

“Threshold” captures a suspended decision—the instant before crossing into the unknown. A lone figure stands before an ornate golden doorway, its mirrored surface reflecting nothing but his posture. There is no indication of what lies beyond, only the echo of his presence. This is not about what happens next—it is about the weight of choosing to find out.
