The time eventually came to put my everyday desktop into retirement. Taking its place is an AMD Ryzen build (because Intel can go suck one).
Here's the start of the assembly, where I was sizing up the largest heat sink I've ever handled. There aren't photos detailing all of the build steps because, honestly, building computers is simple.
Icaras is a workhorse. It's almost a shame that its potential is not utilized most days.
But when it is pushed, Icaras hardly budges. These two screenshots are metrics during some HandBrake encodes to MP4 -- the left is DVD-5 source material (took ~5min to complete) while the right is a Blu-Ray (~30min to complete).

This particular case (the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M) is a tricky one when it comes to cable management. Or, at least, it was with the blend of parts I crammed into it.
Nonetheless, it cleaned up nicely and the system runs smoothly.
