This was intended to be part of the Stand Up for Peace Challenge last week but it took me a bit to figure out :D It's about the best homage I could to the Indian Holi Festival. For those that don't know and in short it's basically a festival to celebrate love. After I thought about the challenge a bit, I got to thinking: standin up for peace is awesome, but even better if you just applied this to all aspects of your life. Stop hating on others and stop hating on yourself. If everyone took a grip more time putting others before their own insecurities, then maybe there would be no need to stand up for peace. Maybe we would already have achieved it.

It is a great model to fold. For the big one I used a silver foil piece of paper 30x30cm and for the little ones, each one piece 15x15cm.

are difficult to access unless you are teeny tiny with a long skinny beak. This little one was going all in to get the nectar from almost each and every petunia in the pot. Sometimes you wouldn't see his little head at all. Just his little body sticking out. Those tiny wings work hard keeping them in place while they drink the nectar. These little birds are so amazing to me. I could watch them constantly. I've got several shots of this guy and another one flying close like it's trying to get a good look at who this little invader of petunias is. I'll post one soon
This was another from the jump out of the car moments as I saw the sun playing through the trees. Can never get enough of diffused sunlight in the woods! Taken at the edge of Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire.
those idiots are clever - they decided that a sitting human is less dangerous than a standing human and they appeared only when I sat down .-)
this spring we could watch two families bringing up their kids on one on the trees .-)

I am blessed to have my whole family come and celebrate with us, 5 children, 4 spouses, 9 grandchildren, and 3 friends, so we will have a house full of fun, love, and laughter. I wish that all of you are able to celebrate with others. My wish is that no-one is lonely during this holiday. No idea why I did this, but after applying such strong tonal changes the wood creature appeared from the woods. Ok, too much imagination? Cabin fever setting in probably...and yes, I admit...I know why I was just playing with tonal adjustments on old shots because I cannot get out to take new ones....grrrrrr
