But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
(Isaiah 64:6)

Bij de achterdeur staat een grote hortensiastruik. Een bloem daarvan is weer gaan bloeien of bloeit nog steeds. Een lichtpuntje in deze korte en soms donkere dagen.
Going outside I first see a large bush of the Hydrangea. In these short days there is one flower still blooming bright and pink. So I made a picture of this flower to share some brightness with you.
Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.
Love this Christmas song, especially the version by Karen Carpenter. I thought this song was very appropriate for this year. Perhaps a better title for 2020 would have been, "I'll Stay Home for Christmas." Not traveling for sure. I am sad knowing many will not be with their families and loved ones this season but we are getting so close to being back to normal, now that vaccines have arrived. I am hoping by summer the majority will have received the COVID vaccine and things might be back to normal.
Again, I ended up with more photos than I can post to #MacroMondays. I liked this one as much as the one I posted to the group:) Lucky for me this one also fits the theme of #FlickrFriday, which is #ThisisMyWorld. No, I don't have a chicken farm, I just loooooooove baking and eggs are the staple ingredient for it. So here it is! Thank you for your visit.

Good Morning Everyone! Indeed, This Is My World, the woods and waters of the Maine coast and my home. I am so lucky to be here during these turbulent pandemic times.
Spotted this small bird in the park yesterday. Seems to be finding lots of little bugs in the tree.

'"Woodstock knows that he is very small and inconsequential indeed. It’s a problem we all have. The universe boggles us…Woodstock is a lighthearted expression of that idea."

Nothing better than to sit down in the afternoon with a good book and a mug of tea. Or not to me!
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.
Do I take Photography too seriously/ or not seriously enough? Locked up during COVID. The 2020 Challenge
You have to realize that not all "great ideas" can bring you anywhere near success... a tough work. My World.
Inspired by #FlickrFriday ... But a daily exigency in lockdown era. Stella is watching for birds, Wayne's aware of squirrel, I see them plus the few known approaching Steller's jays, crows, junkos, and chickadees. Getting their different snacks ready. Love this world, but also look forward to my daily world including more parts of the globe again ... Thankful for Zoom, but it's just not the same as hugging and squealing, talking in room corners and on street corners ...
My tiny desk and laptop where I do most of my photo editing. Thanks to everyone that stopped to view, comment and like this image.

My world, or part of it; getting away from the city for a couple of hours and enjoying the outdoors.
The three larches here are deformed by the constant harsh wind coming over the ridge, which has made them look more like hawthorn trees.
I could crop in and lose the dry stone dyke, but it adds a sense of wilderness to the composition, so it stays!
Each day spring, summer, fall or winter begins with cofffee, and I generally have a tune in my head by the end of the cup, then I can begin to see the frames in the world for a photo.
Taken for the Flickr Friday theme 'This is my world'
This mural has been painted on a building in my local park. It is titled Fragile World
I captured the shot in the early morning light and liked the blue sky overhead.
This is my world, as this is the world where I spend most of my time, communing with Nature. Let's not lose it.

517 individual 30s exposures taken over 5 hours during the Geminid meteor shower and processed in StarStax. Only caught one clear meteor but was a good one, shooting straight through the centre of Orion
Walking has always been an essential part of my life. This past year, my dog and I have walked more than 650 miles of city streets. But walking in the city during the pandemic is a lonely activity, as we mask up and move away from each other.
Taken on my iPhone as part of my COVID-19 Walkabout project.
