Das Wort wird auch im deutschen Sprachraum seit etwa 1980 benutzt.
Während das englische Pink dem deutschen Rosa entspricht, bedeutet das deutsche Pink ein kräftiges, sattes Rosa. Diese Farbe kommt in der Natur kaum vor.
Es ist umstritten, ob das Wort Pink im Deutschen einen anderen Farbton als das Wort Rosa beschreibt. Manche Quellen besagen, dass Pink für intensivere Purpurfarbtöne als rosa steht. (Wiki)

A graceful, black-and-white waterbird, the Common Tern is the most widespread tern in North America. It can be seen plunging from the air into water to catch small fish along rivers, lakes, and oceans.
