Oh it was a glorious day down at Bronte yesterday - beautiful surf and skies and I had a real spring in my step even with Ms. Fiat in hospital . Is there anything better than waking up once a cold has finished and you just feel reborn - the world seems new again.
So I went looking for a new apartment to rent as thought time for a change and time to move on from negative juju (;)))) ) .
My fine flickr friends - I found a place that has a huge window that looks directly out on to ocean and beaches - and 2 minutes walk from Tamarama.- right bang in between Bronte and Bondi - my heartland. Putting an application in tomorrow so let us all collectively cross our fingers that this will be the place that I can curl up for winter in looking out at the surf and the sky :).
This one was a "happy little accident" (as the late Bob Ross would have described it). I was hoping for a sharp silhouette of this great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias) but ended up with a faint reflection of the lens being captured on the inner surface of my dome port, so I had to dial the exposure down some more and boost the contrast, which resulted in a "magical" quality to the sunlight breaking through the water's surface.
... hier sieht man mal wieder, wie scharf, kontrastreich und farbrichtig die Aufnahmen des Lumia sind :)

life becomes rich when we slow down and look closely at the things Nature offers...
"Though I do not believe that a plant will spring up where no seed has been, I have great faith in a seed. Convince me that you have a seed there, and I am prepared to expect wonders." - Henry David Thoreau
I turned 30 the 10th of May 2015. Me and my two brothers used to play on the swings in our garden ; a gift from an uncle, made entirely with solid wood. We used to made jumps contests, or just sat there all day laughing about everything...
We are all adults now and left our parent's house a long time ago, just coming back at few occasions.
I forgot about our beloved swing. Since 2000, when we come visit our parents, we walked around it but never gave it attention.
Some days ago while trying to shoot birds with my camera, it got my attention : its always there, waiting for somebody to play with. The nature came into its own again and felt guilty about it. I just realized I'm not a child anymore...
I was not trying to get ideas for this #FlickrFriday theme, I thought I wouldn't participate because I wasn't inspired. But this picture has a lots of meaning to me, and my family. This is our childhood, our past memory.
We've been through difficult moments in our life, and things have changed, some relations are broken, that's just life.
But in the end, one thing is sure : all the money in the world will never buy you a new childhood, neither bring back to life your past.
Thanks.

So I took Matt Haddaway's advice and ventured in to Lightroom. You're right Matt it is a lot easier than Photoshop - but jeez, so much choice - you can tweak in so many ways - I feel like a starving person who has been living on a desert island eating cocounts(iphoto) and suddenly presented with a lavish buffet. I don't know where to start and already feel a bit dizzy and gorged from the choice of options - so many slider thingeys that do so many things . It took me 4 Ever to figure out how to save - then I made about 20 versions of this shot - just like these two young lovers down on the shoreline at Bondi this evening, I have a lot of ground to cover yet so thank you all for your advice and encouragement.

You sure can buy ressources (brain & muscle power, coaches,...) but you cannot buy the satisfaction if you reached a goal after investing a lot of own effort.
