They bring hope and joy and never bring justice when I capture them, but I need them in my feed even though 😍😆
The guardians...

Tree Swallows returned to build a nest for the second year!
My husband built nesting boxes to proper specifications and affixed them to tall metal poles. In Alaska chickadees thought these were just dandy.
Can you see the piece of long grass this swallow carries? And grass emerging from the bottom of the box? We clean the boxes thoroughly after use. Or my husband does ;)

Locked me in a room since I was young
I've never seen a morning sun come up
I'm employee of the month at a Ritalin club
Yeah, why do you think I'm so messed up?
They don't know where I am, I don't know where I am
I don't know where I am
I don't know where I am, don't know where I am
Don't know where I am
They said I'm an ana-ana-anarchist, I'm an anarchist
Ana-ana-anarchist, not like the other kids
They are a little tall (especially given the angle of the picture) but I think they are kinda cute, and I hope my partner agrees. Warning: they DO NOT match the YAH mug color. :/

Stones they sink in the lake
Kissed by the waves that now break
On the hardness, under the skies
That place drama in all eyes
As they gaze far and wide
Into natures beauty, deep inside

Back in the spring of 2019, Zach and I checked off the Mohawk Adirondack and Northern on the must "do" list. We had found out that they were planning on making a run from Utica north to Boonville, NY with empty propane cars for storage with all three engines. Another early morning departure from the house got us to Utica just before dawn to witness the sights and smell of Schenectady smoke. seeing a big train on the main to Boonville was certainly cool. After spotting the empty propane cars north of town, they returned to "downtown" Boonville to give Bailey Feeds a quick switch. Here, MA&N C-425 2456 dips down to the spot track to grab an empty grain car. It is quite an illusion, but in reality there is no room for error in spotting cars here. This was a great day, thanks to our friends at the MA&N with Centuries and lots of sun. April 16, 2019.

There’s Calatrava wherever I go. I stumbled upon another one of Calatrava’s masterpieces in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on the Canary Islands. The majestic profile of the Auditorio de Tenerife has become an architectural symbol of the city and it is also regarded as the finest modern building in the Canary Islands.
Lovely to see the cows back and roaming free over Newcastle's parkland. These ones are making themselves comfortable on the Nuns Moor.
... they may be just as beautiful and tall as mum. Now they are just irresistibly cute.

Of course the Busy Lizzies ( Impatiens Walleriana) are coming to an end now and although I do not grow them in my own garden, I continue to be fascinated with the brightness of their colours.
They say 'Two's Company, Three's a Crowd' but not for these three friends :-)

They don't just "stack 'em high and watch 'em fly" at Eliseevsky, they seduce customers with old world charm, attractive displays and a reassuring smell that speaks of quality and class. I took this shot of the delicatessen display in the Eliseevsky grocery store.

The magpies from Hawkes Bay in the North Island took away our Ranfurly Shield which we had only won the week before from a different North Island team.
Explanatory note: "milked"
In English, many past and present participles of verbs can be used as adjectives. Some of these examples may show the adjective use.
eg. This is a potent combination for ridicule, and it is milked remorselessly.
They estimate there are only about 7000 snow leopards left in the world but due to community education and support to those who live with snow leopards their numbers are slowly increasing.
They're here, and they're scanning for something. Combing the coast of Cornwall for who knows what their giant alien minds might require from our lonely little planet.
Perhaps they have a shortage of plastic and are hoovering up the results of our indifference.
Perhaps they've identified something wonderful and are busy cataloguing the discovery before we unwittingly destroy it.
Maybe Doris Day said it best, 'Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps'...

Yes they are back!

Yes they are back!
From the 28th of February SNCF resumed the traffic of ballast trains between Somain and Quenast.
It was evident that a (first) picture of those trains would follow soon on my stream: from my home town it is only a couple of kilometers to Quenast.
Glad to see this once again in Belgium!
