Just another little store in Wimberley, Texas. This town is such a cool art community. So many creative people in one spot.
The problem I'm having with my pc is someone is hacking into it every night around 7 or 8 pm. I changed all the passwords today and hopefully, that'll work. If you have any suggestions I would like to hear them
Day 100:
Yay for 100 days!
100 Self Portraits, 100 Videos and 100 drawings in. That's a lot of work and we're not even a third of the way through the year. Still many more days to go.
I wanted something fun for Day 100. I think this is fun. I know I had fun making this photo. Sheri came into the bedroom while I was setting up and I looked like a child who was caught doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. Which was slapping sprinkles on my face. :)
Thank You all for following me, commenting, favoriting, etc. I hope for 265 more days filled with your feedback.

It's called a tree house, but I disagree with that statement. It's more like a house that swallowed a tree. And a Church. And quite possibly the all the builder's free time for the last 30+ years.

THE TREEHOUSE is a small architectural wonder equipped with state-of-the-art eco facilities located in the forests of Hechtel-Eksel. But above all, it is the ideal place for break-out sessions and meetings where businesses can brainstorm about the importance sustainability has in their company, why and how they can improve to build a better future for the planet. It is the perfect location for scientific research and relevant presentations.
Four parties – Sappi, BBDO, The Flemish Forest and Nature Agency and the city of Hechtel-Eksel – joined forces in a unique partnership to stimulate companies, politicians and organisations to embrace sustainability in their daily activities. And all with the same vision: environmental quality and social responsibility for the benefit of people, planet and profit.

Day 036:
Anytime a discussion about weight comes up and I share with people how much I weigh, they immediately don't believe me.
As of this morning I am 219lbs. I've been this weight for about a year now. Got up to 225lbs at one point. Ideally I would like to be back to what I was a few years ago (185lbs), but that would require some actual work on my behalf.
I know this a bit revealing. Not easy to post. Typically I wear black boxer briefs, but I do own one pair of fun undies. I figure this isn't a sexy photo, so maybe some humor would help.
So there you go. Here I am.
Update: A year later and I'm still the way I am and unlike last year. I'm actually okay with my weight. :)
*Note: I don't mind comments, but rude individuals will be BLOCKED. Just warning you. If you don't like, don't comment. Thank You*

More golden oldies up here for posterity. I think the roof needs work done to it lol. This delightful wee ruined hoose in the Scottish Borders has leaves for a roof. Has certainly seen better days. Taken on an old wee compact camera years ago.. I always meant to find this place again and take a photo with a DSLR but cant quite remember where it was doh!
Day #60 - The Home Office
I am making the most of the 16-85mm lens that I have borrowed from Andrew. My house photographs are nothing like The Selby's though. But thats what the 365 Project is about isn't it?
A little more on my home office configuration:

My lips haven't felt that same since. A new way to exfoliate them?
So today I had the day off. Not my usual day off. Which is okay, because I got up at a decent hour, went walking with Sheri, had my first home brewed cup of coffee in months and enjoyed a nice morning with Sheri before she left for work.
Since, I've listened to podcasts (what I typically do on my days off.), took some photos and currently listening to Marilyn Manson's Mechanical Animals in the Alpha / Omega track order. If you're a fan, you'll understand that.
So that's my day thus far.
No new news about anything going on in life. Work is ever changing. People coming and going.

January 19th, 2009 -
Here's a little update about the past week and a half of my life.
Still looking for a job. Not much progress there. I just am not finding anything of interest and the jobs that look interesting are not looking for anyone entry level and forget it if you have no formal education past high school. Which I sadly do not. However anytime I have had a job I have excelled at my position. I am a very quick learner and with my last job I realized I can be a leader, which is something I never saw myself as. The hard part has always been getting hired in the first place.
So I continue with my search.
I as I mentioned in my Christmas photos (Click here to view: flickr.com/photos/venatheous/sets/72157612725728615/ ) I was sick for a good two and a half weeks. I ended up starting to feel better when Monday of last week I had horrible stomach pains and achy body, loss of energy, vomitting, etc. It wasn't pretty. It lasted for 2 1/2 days. At first I thought it was food poisoning, so I just drank water for those days, hoping to feel better. That Thursday, I decided to have some food, bad idea. It came back and lasted for a few more days. I guess it was a stomach flu. So I went on the BRAT diet over the weekend. It's since gotten better, I can keep food in me, but I feel full quickly and I still have minor discomfort in my belly.
Today we found out that Little Debbie snack foods had been recalled and it just so happens that we have some in our place right now and did prior to my getting sick, so I am not sure if it was those or the mango (cheese tasting) yogurt the Sunday prior to my getting sick. But I am done with all this illness. I don't want anymore colds, sinus b/s or stomach flus. I want to feel normal for a long stretch of time and perhaps that will help get me out of this funk that I have been in. It's keeping me from really being productive about anything. I just sit at home, being lazy and not caring about much and I don't like that. I much rather be at a job, working my butt off, going out with friends and working on a photo project. Being busy will make me happy. I function better when my mind is going at a thousand miles an hour.
Hopefully next time I post a photo it's because I've either spent time out with friends and took photos or better yet, started my third 365 days project.
Edit: Or EVEN better. I got a job and did the other two as well.

Crossville, TN, USA
Nestled in the buckle of the Bible Belt sits a little town called Crossville, Tennessee, home to the world's largest treehouse, a towering 10-storey monument constructed for God.
Built around a foundation 80-foot white oak tree and 6 other trees that act as natural pillars, the work-in-progress is a lifelong project for landscape architect and the Treehouse's minister, Horace Burgess.
It was god damn freezing when I was trying to take this. Camera just held manually, five vertical frames stitched in Photoshop. More shots from the day on shesgotapassionforfashion.blogspot.com/2010/11/narnia.html

Day 020:
It's not the size of the camera, but what you do with it.
That was the concept for the photo and then during and after I was done taking photos, I was instantly bored with the idea. I looked at the photos and edited two and still bored with it.

Day 166:
"There's a drumming noise inside my head
That starts when you're around
I swear that you could hear it
It makes such an all mighty sound"
[Drumming Song :: Florence + The Machine]

I cannot stop listening to this song. I am in love with it. I've had this album in my iTunes for a few weeks, but I find myself always playing catch up with my podcasts, but today I decided to give it a listen and I am so happy I did.
This song helped me get motivated to do well today in everything I did. And I believe it did.

Built around 16 mature lime trees, Alnwick Treehouse is a 6,000 sq ft complex of turreted cottages linked by suspended walkways, high in the trees outside the walls of the main garden. It’s a place for children and adults to learn, play and relax. And although it’s 60 feet high, there’s access via a ramp so The Treehouse, its rope bridges and walkways in the sky are accessible to everyone.
The Treehouse was built using natural materials from sustainable resources including Canadian Cedar, Scandinavian Redwood and English and Scotch pine, and the quirky design is so at home in its environment that it looks as if The Treehouse has grown out of the ground.
Learning to love being in front and behind the camera again.
Although I may not look it. I was in quite the good mood while taking these. I even have the photo to prove it. Which I am still considering posting later.
On Saturday, Sheri and I were busy cleaning and decorating for Pride and one of the things we wanted to make were cupcakes. After a few different ideas, we decided to make a rainbow flag out of mini cupcakes

Seeping through the skin. Dark. Ugly.
So full of it.
I need to let it all out.
I need to be free of it.

This was the end of Betsy's memory card capacity and Sheri's camera ran out of battery power. The party finished up... I can't remember. I really can't. All I know is, it was dark and sometime after the 4.7 earthquake that rocks us. 15 seconds and it felt pretty violent. All was well but damn. What a day. Ha ha ha

Day 097:
Tonight we welcome a new member to our little family.
Sheri got herself a new MacBook.
Sheri has been an early adopter of Apple products. She's had three different generations of iPods prior to our getting together. In 2007 my Sony Vaio notebook went to the bad place and I had to put it down. I was in the middle of my first 365 and I needed a new computer, but for the meantime I shared Sheri's desktop for about two or three months. I was fortunate enough to have someone who was able to get me a new notebook, one of my choosing. I instantly went to Apple.com I had decided that after all the years of issues with Windows PCs, I would give Mac a try and I am so happy that I did.
Three plus years and I haven't had a single issue with my MacBook Pro. Sheri's Dell PC went the way of my Vaio over a year ago and she's been sharing my MacBook Pro with me. So tonight is special night as she now has her own MacBook to love and enjoy like I have with mine. She's very familiar with them and is just nothing but smiles right now.
We still have two those of those iPods, we both own iPhones and I'm sure we'll own plenty more Apple products in the future.
