There's a Hill that got broken because of the Earthquake in Chile, in the next day still can be seen the dust cloud. We heard a explosion a few minutes after the Earthquake, and that explosion was the Hill crumbling

I don't know if there was an incident on Bray head or if they were just training. I did see the coast guard Sikorsky helicopter flying around Bray about half an hour before I took this and a mountain rescue Land Rover drove past me on my way down the road at speed with its lights on after I took this shot.

There's probably no other city in the world that has as 'urban' an architecture as New York City.

Like most Mexican "crafts", there is the real market, the one which caters to the tour busses or weekend travelers. Knick-knacks, loudly painted, simply characters, whatever need be applied in order that the passerby pick one up and add to the coffers to pay the bills and put food on the table.

We are about to enter into the holiday season, with all the sights and sounds of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. One of the all-time favorite songs often sung during this season says, “Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.” This year, the song doesn’t ring true like it used to, because if a choir of Muslims were singing it, the words and music would sound the same, but the meaning would be entirely different.

It is becoming more and more difficult for bleeding hearts to believe that Islam is a religion of peace because the Muslims are making it self-evident that the path to peace, for them, must be the way of Holy War, or Jihad. They are making it self-evident by continually making public statements to make the point that their concept of peace is when Islam rules the world, when all the unbelievers are killed, and when Shari’a is the law. Only then, they believe, will there be real peace. Any calm co-existence in the meantime is not peace, but patience. It is waiting for the right moment to begin world-wide Jihad.

They are also making their view self-evident by continually carrying out terrorist acts around the world. Granted, some attacks are individuals with a screw loose, but the majority of the incidents are planned by Islamic groups hoping to make a point. Regardless, the basis for their attacks is to carry out the personalized message of the Quran to kill the infidels.

Read what some prominent Muslims are saying:

- “Our animosity is based on religion. We hate Americans for their secular ideology.” – Ihsanullah Ihsan

- “Throat-slitting and murder until the power is Allah’s!” – The Armed Islamic Group

- “Democracy is among the menaces. It is not possible to work within a democracy and establish an Islamic system.” – Hafiz Mohammad Saeed

- “Islam says ‘Kill all the unbelievers. Put them to the sword and scatter their armies.” – Ayatollah Khomeini

For the Muslim, there is no peace without war. But for the Christian and the Jew, there is no peace without love. (Psalm 119:165; Galatians 5:22) Even out theme verse, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,” ends with “they shall prosper that love thee.”

There are hundreds of gulls that have shown up this week.

There were a lot more on the walkway along motel row; along with Canada Geese and Coots.

There are lots of young Linnets around at the moment. They seem to like hanging out with the Meadow Pipits.

There are now 500 English towns and 5000 of the best English buildings in my Flickr Collections and Albums

fantastic. The cabbage salad is wonderful. the vegetable and potato side is wonderful. The tortilla is wonderful. The mole sauce is very good.

There it is...a limited edition Gretsch. It may be factory made, but it plays and sounds like a beast. Beautiful.

There weren't really any good ones from this roll. what a bummer. i hope it was user error and there is nothing wrong with my lens :/

There are days when my thoughts become poems, there are days when my poems become thoughts and there are times that my images can speak.

Scavenge Challenge - Nov2012 - Scavchal #23 - CONTEST! Take a look at our group icon (picking up a penny). Make a related photo showing something being found. A month has gone and I have not found anything suitable for this - until today. I have always checked the river edges and streams to see if by any chance I can see any tiny pieces of alluvial gold or maybe diamonds or semi-precious stones. Here is a shot of nugget found amongst the rocks lying on the bottom of a shallow stream!!

Thanks for your visit, your comments are always welcomed and appreciated. Have a great day! :-)

MASS UPLOAD XD

im really proud of this manip. i love it! i think i did really good at editing taylor in, she looks like she wasn't edited in, and i think i did good on demi! considering the fact that it's hard to make a girl who has her hair down look like she has her hair up, considering when you have your hair down there is the possibility of having bangs, and demi did in this picture and when you have your hair up, you generally don't have bangs. so yeah(:

Just before I walked out the room on this abbey, I glanced up and couldn't resist.

There are lots of events going on in town with the ongoing Helsinki Festival.

People make time to visit the various locations and get acquainted with the different programs-- theatre, music, dance, art exhibitions, circus, movies, etc.

We happened to be at the same time in the same place.

I was making a photo of the tower when I noticed them sitting on the sidewalk curb. I pointed at my camera and then right back at them and without a word they nodded in agreement.

Tow clicks later I approached, introduced myself and my project and asked them to pose for me, first as a group and then individually.

This is how I met the four friends. Each was dressed differently, hair colours, too, and yet they were all perfectly mixed together, same attitude, kind & polite.

Jasmin is the youngest of the bunch.

"How old are you?" I asked.

"Fifteen."

"My granddaughter is older than you. Are you in high school?"

"I'll start next year."

"Will your parents be OK with your photos on my photoblog?"

"Yes, of course," she assured me.

Eeva is 18y/o and attends high school.

She impressed me being the most quiet amidst her lovely friends.

Flamboyant red hair Moira, is 17 y/o, as old as my eldest granddaughter. She is studying to become a hairdresser, just like her 18 y/o friend, Melissa.

I believe we all had fun doing the photo shoot.

While I was making the individual portraits, a fellow photographer appeared and asked Mira to pose for him.

When we were done, they all wrote their email addresses for me.

The pictures are on their way, girls. Hopefully you'll like them.

Thanks for your time and for being so friendly and cooperative.
