Nyborg is a city in central Denmark, located on the island of Funen. The city was founded in the 1200s, built up around Nyborg Castle.

One from the archives, reprocessed using my current workflow.

This bird flew very close past the boat I was in, so it was virtually frame filling. No idea how I managed to keep it all in the frame!

St Lucia, South Africa.

For a report on that weather affected trip, goto www.stephenburch.com/trips/sa/sa.htm

Here is what's happened.

Lunch with friends, I spot this cat jumping from the far left of the outer wall, grab the camera of a friend and block camera with this frame. After a few secs the furry animal jumps into the frame and i click.

“Don’t compare yourself to others; each orchid has its own time to bloom.”

Have a great Monday! 🌼

*** Sorry you do not have the whole bird its not due to a crop I simply did not get it fully in the frame . The image might have entered the bin but I liked the details on the Gannets legs that I have not managed to catch in a shot before. Also the beak full of nesting material provides some interest

Do zoom in and check out those legs

THANKS FOR YOUR VISITING BUT CAN I ASK YOU NOT TO FAVE AN IMAGE WITHOUT ALSO MAKING A COMMENT. MANY THANKS KEITH.

ANYONE MAKING MULTIPLE FAVES WITHOUT COMMENTS WILL SIMPLY BE BLOCKED

The Ikon Gallery is an English gallery of contemporary art, located in Brindleyplace, Birmingham.

And not a soul in sight in when I took this capture!

While the lockdown is still in place and many not wanding around in my City. This gives me, the golden opportunity to some street photography and wander around Brindleyplace and Gas Street Basin, in which I love visiting.

Also, this makes it easy to get clear capture of these old architecture buildings, in which normally it gets well crowded around Brindleyplace!

So, there are no worries for me, in keeping Social Distancing from others, because there are not many seem to want to get out these days at the moment.

Keep cool and stay safe, my flickr friends !!!

Bubbles floating looking like some type of planet system. Actually a large bottle of hand sanitiser. A photographers dream as the bubbles were static.

Have a safe week everyone.

This lady was so nice. She stepped into the frame just as I took the shot. She said she was sorry for messing up my shot. I told her it wasn't messed up, because now she was part of it..:)

The bird is actually being mobbed by a crow, but the latter was a little way behind at this moment, having just made a pass, so I cropped for the buzzard only.

IT came a bit closer than on my first visit on Wedneday, but still middle distance and heavy cropping of the frame.

A pleasant day spent with Stuart Allen and nice to meet up with Paul Coombes again back at the cars.

Thanks for viewing and for your faves and comments

SO COLD outside and very very windy here in Baltimore this night ... but worth it to see this happen.

No crop here, really liked the scene with the stars now visible in the frame around the moon.

Going to bed now, need to get up for work in the morning.

Mountain sky. Etna volcano summit crater, Sicily, March 2022.

tomates-mozzarella pour un 1er août aux couleurs de l'Italie !

A close look at some juicy red Raspberry's filling the frame

Thank you for your nice comments and the numerous Favs, which I am very happy about.

Vielen Dank für eure netten Kommentare und die zahlreichen Sternchen, über die ich mich sehr freue.

This mesmerizing view from the city of Taif, located approximately 2000 meter above sea level. The city is blessed with beautiful mountain valley view enhancing the beauty of the landscape. The mountains here are solid rocky and the climate is pleasant throughout the year.

The visit was planned to take this photo but when the camera was ready to take photo the atmosphere got filled with beautiful white foggy clouds and nothing was visible after 5 meter of distance. It was disheartening and disappointing but later in night the sky got clear for very small period of time and this photo was taken.

Photography needs patience and patience gives you good result.

On our way through the woodlands before Sugar Loaf Hill, we found a great many sessile oaks with immense levels of character.

I enjoy trying to find balance within the frame, especially when the subject is not perfectly symmetrical. I probably took the shot a dozen times, trying to move the sun around the branches as it set behind the slope beyond. I used f11 on the XF 16 1.4 as it was the best compromise for front to back sharpness, and the resulting sunstar. Certain media has had an influence on both the composition and the colouring of this shot. I softened the highlights, introduced a golden tint to both shadows and highlights, and raised the blacks to soften the contrast a little. Using a gradient I decided to really push the exposure in the upper half of the image to maximise the fantasy inspiration (Elden Ring).

This was where I had planned to shoot sunset and use this salt formation as a foreground subject. Mother Nature had other ideas and brought light winds that caused ripples in the water that worsened.

In the middle of the frame, you can see the first hints of the ripples.

Back to checking weather apps for the 50th time....

I decided to pull up stakes and move to a different section of the lake, searching for calmer waters. This setup shot became the only usable image from this location.

The Great Salt Lake - GPS is not the exact spot of the shot.

No comments today – just enjoy :-)

Dubai Marina at late sunset with three shots exposure blending. Princess Tower is 101-story, 413.4 m tall residential skyscraper in the middle of the frame.

As always, thank you so much for your visits, comments and faves!

Mistaya Canyon in Banff National Park is a scenic gem on the Icefields Parkway. Sculpted by the rushing water of the Mistaya River, which originates from Peyto Lake to the southeast, this deep slot canyon features curvy limestone walls and eroded pothole depressions. One of my many stops along the Icefields Parkway that connects Banff to Jasper NP in Alberta, Canada. Many signs about telling people that there are sheer drop-offs and certain death is imminent. I took quite a few from different angles. It's hard to explain how curvy the gorge is below these falls as it deepens substantially below the frame here. I shot this early in the morning with just a few lingering about. I did manage to capture one gentleman getting out fairly far onto the rocks. Stay Tuned.

Macro Monday ….. Theme " Fill The Frame "

Full of vitamin C, the juicy and fresh orange …………

Thanks for your views, faves and comments very much appreciated.

Photo taken on July 7, 2017 - it was first processed April 19, 2020. Have you ever taken a pic that you missed, and then find later?

Image is from a Nylon/Polyester Paintbrush 65mm / 2.5” wide.

I was thrilled to have captured this Forster's Tern in flight (bif not being my forte) and I like the fact that a person is included in the frame. It puts the bird in context and shows how they both share the same space. This picture was taken early in the morning in Daytona Beach, Florida, last February.

Zoomed onto to peak of Mt Fuji while keeping the leaves in the frame . Wanted to have the barren snow peak and green leaves together in the same frame like spring in winter !

The top and bottom of the frame are defocused in post to create a dreamy effect.

No crop. I have put my exif details up again. I only took them off as an experiment with explore. I had never been explored under my own name until two days ago and was starting to think I never would so I took the exif off and hey ho less than a week I was explored lol

Part of an antique metal-beaded purse for #MacroMondays and "Fill the Frame". For this week we needed to fill the frame with one subject matter--in this case an heirloom belonging to my great-grandmother.

Less than 5cm/1.97 inches across. Size demo is the previous photo, or in the first comment.

Many thanks for looking!

Hungarian Porcelain Herend

size of the frame is approx 2.0 x 1.5 inch

I really appreciate them!

4th August 2015 - A view of OOCL Belgium from one of the poop deck windows of the 'Atlantic Conveyor'.

This mini cacti had color and texture to fill the frame. HMM

Thank you for your visit!!

Leica M-P(Typ.240, digital, 2014), Leica Summicron 50mm F2.0 at f/8 (zone focused), iso fixed at iso400, manual exposure at sunny16 + 3 stops

Black Redstart (Phoenicurus ochruros).

Full frame image at 300mm. Just a little too big in the frame for my personal taste, but does have advantage of showing a touch more detail.

This dogs owner runs the perfume shop to the left (out of the frame) 🌹🌺
