On the Kingston Peninsula, the morning fog is so thick you could cut it with a knife. However, you don't need to since the Sun will do it eventually. This was a magical moment to remember. From archives.
Sorrento was relatively quiet when we were there in Spring 18. Summer is when hordes of tourists descend upon the spectacular Amalfi Coast. My personal preference has always been to travel to the Mediterranean in Spring or Autumn when it is neither too hot nor cold and more importantly less busy :)) I wish you all a splendid weekend. I am really behind in my posts and thank you always for your interest in my shots :))
I am posting the first of my pics from my holiday in Spain last September/October.. I hope you will follow me as I trace my steps through Spain - sorry my posts will probably not be in chronological order but random, depending on my whim.. :))

Halloween pennant, female
It is native to eastern North America. Its wings are entirely orange-yellow in color with dark brown bands, the Halloween inspiration for its common name. The young has yellow markings, including a stripe on its back. The adult male and female may develop pale red markings, especially on the face. This species is about 38 to 42 millimeters long.
American darter is a water bird of the warmer parts of the Americas. This bird is often mistaken for the double-crested cormorant due to its similar size and shape, although the two species can be differentiated by their tails and bills. The tail of the anhinga is wider and much longer than that of the cormorant. The bill of the anhinga is pointed, while the bill of the cormorant has a hook-tip.

The postman butterfly is predominately black with either red or yellow stripes across the forewings. The postman butterfly has large long wings (35–39 mm). It is poisonous and the red patterns on its wings are an example of aposematism. Heliconius melpomene is found from Central America to South America, especially on the slopes of the Andes mountains.

Allamanda schottii
Unlike many members of the genus, A. schottii is a shrub rather than a vine. The large yellow flowers are terminal (i.e. appearing at the ends of branches), and can appear year-round but predominantly in spring.
