A partial side view of sculptures group named "La Résistance de 1814” by Antoine Étex. (English: The Resistance of 1814"). It’s one of the four main sculptural groups on each of the Arc de Triomphe pillars and it commemorates the French Resistance to the Allied Armies during the War of the Sixth Coalition.
The full sculptures group consists of four men; one with angel wings, a woman, a child and a raging horse.
I’ve taken some shots of the sculptures group with full frontal and side views and they were good, but this one portrays the powerful resistance better; in my opinion!

Supreme Leader Snoke is shocked that Kylo Ren cannot glean the location of Luke Skywalker from Rey. General Hux plays on the fear that the Resistance will find the lost Jedi and is given permission to destroy the Resistance Base on D'Qar with the Starkiller. The Resistance leaders gather around a holoprojector in their base and use Finn's knowledge of the weapon to plan an attack on the Starkiller, before it is too late.
For those who haven't heard, Episode VIII is titled 'The Last Jedi'.

A skittish but loyal astromech, BB-8 accompanied Poe Dameron on many missions for the Resistance, helping keep his X-wing Fighter in working order. When Poe’s mission to Jakku ended with his capture by the First Order, BB-8 fled into the desert with a vital clue to the location of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. The plucky astromech soon became the target of a determined search by the Resistance, the First Order and the galactic underworld.

Captain Phasma is forced to lower the shields of Starkiller Base, which allows Poe Dameron to lead an attack on the base's thermal oscillator - the weapon's weak-point. The X-wing squadrons make a successful bombing-run on the oscillator, but do no real damage. General Hux deploys all of the base's Tie fighters as a defence. Within the base, Rey is reunited with her friends and they set out to destroy the oscillator from within.

*[We had such a good time at this new Hollywood Studio's exhibit back in Dec/2019 that we came back for the grand opening week of a new 2nd exhibit that they just completed. Unfortunately, many of the exhibits were shut down (including this new one) because it was too cold, the machinery does not operate properly if the outside temp is below 40 degrees, and we were at about 35 degrees! LOL For Florida that is very low! So, I just took all the new exterior shots.
They are pretty cool. Hope you like them. Thank you for looking]

*[The quite-amazing new STAR WARS exhibit opened just ten days
prior (to above) on December 5th, 2019. Since we were in Orlando
for a company holiday-party we checked it out. As expected, it was jammed in the daytime with a 90+ minute wait for the ride. We went back in the evening (with a 35 minute wait) and it was very cool! With everything all lit-up at night it was fantastic and we truly felt
as if we were on the Galaxy's Edge! A must for the Star Wars fan!]

Attractions include Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, a dark ride that places guests in a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance; and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, a flying simulator attraction that allows guests to pilot the Millenium Falcon through a customized secret mission on behalf of Hondo Ohnaka and Chewbacca. Not long after I arrived at Pershing Square, I saw this sign. I couldn't resist, as I saw similar signs at the Women's Marches of the past. Like it or not, Carrie Fisher is the symbol of this Resistance against the current regime. But I think she would have liked it. She died after the 2016 election, so she wasn't around to witness the chaos that ensued once Trump was sworn in. But I think she would have approved being a symbol of such a resistance.
