Over the past few days in the outer suburbs of Sydney Australia we have had our worst bush fires in over a decade. I learnt last night that close friends of ours lost the house up in the Blue Mountains, I cannot imagine how terrible that must be to lose everything. I wish there was someway we could send some of our sea water up there to put out all the fires and try and save everyones houses.

So I dedicate this mornings sunrise photo from Cronulla to everyone who has been effected by these terrible fires.

The day they stop us being allowed to take photos in a public space in Australia will be a sad day, this morning I had one of the local surfers try and tell me that what I do is disconcerting, I am surprised he actually knew what it meant.

It is hard to believe that it is winter when you Visit the Shire on a Saturday morning in August. I took this at sunrise today down at Wanda Surf Club the sun rose at 6:33 but did not show itself till about 20 minutes later due to a little coastal cloud.

You cant beat The Real Shire at this time of the year clear skies, blue water, sand between your toes and we are expecting a top of 24 degrees today.
