This week's Snap Happy theme of 'Golden hour' was chosen by phunnyfotos.

Sunset, St.Kilda on a beautiful golden evening last week.

This months FOTF theme of 'Upside Down' was chosen by the lovely Di.

After having spent most of the month laid up unwell with the flu, time was slipping away from me and I really didn't think I would get something up.

Late last Sunday afternoon I ventured down the beach after the rain and I not only found puddles, but my inspiration for this months wonderful theme!

I spent a lot of evenings in February it seems, chasing sunsets.

I remember this particular evening and headed out quite late, my intention being only to get as far as the Botanical Gardens, but once there it appeared to be a non-event. I could see a glimmer of hope in the distance and so I fast tracked it down to the beach.

I waited until the sunset, certain it was going to be a spectacular one, and while there was warmth in the sky, it was mostly a non-event, that is until, I walked away.

As started walking home I stopped to admire the Palais lit up like a Queen, and as I stood and stared the sky began to turn an intense pink and purple and orange an mauve and it was absolutely glorious. The longer I lingered the more intense the colours got.

Of course I had no tripod, why would I (I dislike the things immensely), but I was quite pleased with how this hand held offering came up!

This weeks Snap Happy theme of 'shades of green' was chosen by Tricia.

A selection of beautiful greens in St.Kilda, including some of the local architecture, cafes, community gardens, shops, the esplanade market, the pier and kiosk and The Palais Theatre too.

Sunset, St.Kilda Esplanade, on a beautiful golden evening last week.

This looks like two images but it is actually just one. I loved the golden hues and also the reflections of the Palais Theatre and Luna Park opposite.

A lovely golden afternoon and the St.Kilda Esplanade all to myself

I had seen this little guy and his owner just the other day as they rode through the streets of St.Kilda on a scooter! It was the little dogs outfit in particular that first caught my eye.

The other weekend I spotted them out and about again, they were stopped in front of Luna Park where they were happy to pose for a few photos!

TGR (pronounced Tigger) is the pooches name just in case you happened to miss his bling encrusted initials attached to his hat, sunglasses and leather vest!

While little TGR does look very cool I wonder how he feels about being dressed like this all the time? Still, he did seem happy enough and not bothered at all so I guess there's my answer!

I have another pic of TGR with his owner which I will also post but I love this close up, especially as reflected in each of TGR's lenses are two other St.Kilda icons . . . Luna Park and The Palais Theatre . . . totally by design of course!

Thank you so much to all of my wonderful Flickr friends for all of your wonderful comments. I am struggling a little to keep up with Flickr at the moment but I promise to catch up on all of your wonderful streams very soon.

The jetty shot has been done to death, mainly took it for the cloud formation!

Overall - not a bad shot i guess!

Anette seemed really comfortable and relaxed on stage and gave a great performance.

If I had to pick a photo to sum up The Poet And The Pendulum, this would be it.

Marco likes to have fun on stage. :-)

And yes, uploading The End first and The Beginning later is a reference to The Poet And The Pendulum. I normally upload in chronological order, even if that makes things look bottom-to-top on Flickr.
