Sunnyside Plantation, located on Edisto Island, was the residence of Townsend Mikell who was the son of Isaac Jenkins Mikell from Peters Point Plantation. The house was built between 1870-1880 and features prominent Second Empire details most notably the mansard roof that is topped by a cupola. The cupola was reminiscent of the one nearby that was on the house at Bleak Hall Plantation, Mikell's birthplace and the ancestral home of the Townsend's. Inside there is a central hallway flanked by rooms on each side featuring a decorated floor at the entry and triangular patterned beadboard ceiling in a front room. A full porch extends across three sides of the home and an addition was added onto the back.
The house is constructed on a small island within Store Creek with a narrow causeway leading to it. Out front, a small Revolutionary War cannon rests near the steps of the house and was found in the South Edisto River.
On the property there are several outbuildings including a foreman's house, commissary, kitchen, a long weatherboard barn with tabby foundation and the tabby foundation of a cotton gin that was in operation in 1882 and possibly earlier.
The foreman's house was seen in the movie The Notebook as Noah's dad's house.
I've watched this film today and it just turned into my favourite. I think it will take a while for new pictures of myself or stuff I photograph as my camera hates me and it's now officialy dead, I'll have to buy new batteries to have it back. Actually I need a new camera not new batteries but anyways. I need to get a "real" job for it!
Noah, come on.
Whoo!
Look at us. What are we doing?
Do you think in another life, I could have been a bird?
What do you mean?
Like reincarnation. I don't know.
I think I could. Say I'm a bird.
No.
Say I'm a bird.
Stop it. Stop it now. You're not.
Say it!
You're a bird.
Yeah.
Now say you're a bird too.
If you're a bird, I'm a bird.
"Oh yes you are" "It could be fun, if you want. I could be pensive, uhhh...smart, superstitious, brave? And I, uhh, I can be light on my feet. I could be whatever you want. You just tell me what you want, and I'm gunna be that for you." "...You're dumb" "I could be that....Come on, one date, what's it gunna hurt?" "Mmmm, I don't think so." "Well, what can I do to change your mind?"

Today was a good day. :] But to begin, last night!
Dad and I went to his volleyball game, right? So, on the way home I decided to ask him what he thought about Nathan, because in the past, he's always been right about guys. So, I asked him. And he says,
"Well, from what I've seen, from playing basketball with him, and just whenever I see him, I think that he's a very HONEST good kid. He's honest, nice, and respectful. Nathan? I like Nathan."
YES! SCORE! Dad likes him. 10 points for me! ;]
This morning, I woke up at like, 8. And it was all nice and sunny in my room. (Not really, it was reflecting from the snow haha.) So, I just layed there and dreamed inside my head. It was fun. I got up around nine, and then got ready. We went to Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist. It was uhm....different. Hah. I dunno if I liked it or not.
And then came home, and just hung out. I ordered Ron and Janice's present. xD I'm so excited for it to be here!! It was a nice day.
THEN! The best part of the day,
I recieved a letter from Nathan. xD! I'm SO SO happy.
This time, he drew me mountains, with a moon and stars over it. And it said, "You are MY star"
AND I SMILED SO BIG!
And then he said that when we were looking through pictures of the Texas trip, he always looked for me, because I was always SO cute. And just all this NICE stuff! Oh my goodness.
he's adorable. <3

Painted Wood Sign Tutorial-
Step 1: Lightly sand board to smooth any rough edges (I used 180-grit sandpaper)
Step 2: Place letter stickers (I used vinyl mailbox letters) and any other designs you'd like on the board
Step 3: Paint over everything
Step 4: Let dry overnight
Step 5: Carefully peel off letters
Step 6: Very lightly sand to smooth out ridges left by your stencils/stickers
Step 7: Wipe dust from board with DRY cloth or paper towel- do not use water if you have used acrylic paint
Step 8: Paint on a layer of glossy varnish, let dry well
Step 9: Very lightly sand to remove brush stroke markings, then varnish again.
Steps 8 and 9 can be repeated as many times as desired; I did three coats of varnish, although you can't see the glossy finish in the picture. Before the varnish, the acrylic paint gives it a dull, matte finish. If this is what you prefer, then after Step 7, your creation is complete!

By number one I certainly only mean first born of course.
:)
Her and I are escaping for an hour and a half to enjoy the hot cinnamon tea she just made me and cuddle up like hibernating bears to watch a good movie.
See you on Sunday!!

This didnt turn out quite as I wanted it to but i guess I can blame that on my photoshop-laziness? Lol. Anyway, this song is quite old but its really nice and chill. And I realized after going through 4 different lyric sites for this song, this line has been different in all of them! haha! how funny. So here's my line for my entry. =]

"Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They’re shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they’re gone."
That's probably one of my favorite lines from The Notebook. I'm watching The Notebook right now and crying my eyes out. I've seen this movie so many times and every time I still manage to cry. That love story is just so beautiful. It's my favorite probably.
And the clothes, gaaah I wish I lived in the 40's.
