Tonight marked the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards with the return of the hilarious tag team of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as hosts. Always seen as a precursor to the Acadamy Awards, taking place next month, the ceremony gives a good indication as to where those all-important Oscars are ...

We met Jim Parsons on Broadway last week. He is appearing in the play "The Normal Heart" but he is best known for playing Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory". Veronica loves that TV show, so she was very excited to meet him!

Jim Parsons was one of the nicest and most friendly celebrities we have met. It was so crowded outside his show but he stayed there for a long time signing autographs and taking pictures with everyone who wanted to meet him. His consideration for his fans really impressed me. Bazinga!

Playbill signed by four cast members from "The Normal Heart": Ellen Barkin (upside down over the title), Jim Parsons (upper left side), John Benjamin Hickey (lower left hand side), and Joe Mantello (under the "art" in Heart). The play was excellent and everyone was really nice to take the time to sign the program. Thank you!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending The Normal Heart with a friend of mine. About 20 minutes in I realized I was sitting directly behind a guy whose hair looked very similar to Matt Bomer’s, then mentally called myself a goober for thinking I could recognize Matt Bomer by his hair alone. I tried playing Sherlock Holmes, picking up little clues (his glasses, his hands, his LAUGH) but during intermission I finally saw his face and inwardly freaked out. I have to admit it was hard not looking at him for the rest of the play, but the act was so engaging that somehow I managed to avoid the trap of Matt Bomer’s hotness. When the play was over he leaned down to grab something off his seat and I said, “Matthew” and waited for him to look up, which is when I might have fainted of not for being able to hold onto the chair in front of me. I told him my name and he shook my hand and I explained that my friend was in the front and really would like to meet him because we’re both big fans of his. He said sure, and that he’d wait for her, which surprised me because I never would have dreamt of asking such a thing. We talked briefly about how fantastic Lee was, he asked where I was from and I mentioned some other plays and he said there are so many great things he wanted to see right now. I really wanted to ask him if they were filming White Collar but it totally slipped my mind. When we got to the front of the theater he actually did wait quite a bit for my friend which I was just amazed by, I’m sure he had other things to do and wanted to get back stage to see Lee Pace, but he so kindly waited just to shake my friend's hand. I couldn’t have said thank you enough. I seriously have never met a celebrity who went that out of their way for a fan before and it just made me adore this guy even more.

(I think that might be Joe Mantello in the background between Jim Parsons and the man getting his autograph)

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts and we are neer, ever the same.
