This guy had heard that muffins get eaten.... so he wasn't all that sure he really wanted to be one......

Around here ... lemony blueberry muffins are a favourite...so he's absolutely correct! Sorry buddy........

"Bumblebearies"

Is it just me, or do weekend breakfasts feel special somehow? I'm addicted to the tricolor berries at one particular stand at the farmers market. I swear the girl who sells them has yellow eyes that match these berries. I want to capture it, but how does one ask a complete stranger to pose though?

His imprint.

And, how weird is it that there is also a face in the bottom of the cupcake liner. Two lovely plump, fresh blueberries were obviously in a spot to also resemble a face on the bottom...as well as on the surface of the muffin. Very strange.....now that I've photo'd it for posterity...I'm eating the last crumb.

Check out the photos alongside this one... for the demise.....

The British Baker

Banbury Cross, England hamlet, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, VA

Funnel cakes are made and sold here at The British Baker restaurant. This was originally a pastry shop called "The Muffin Man", from the park's 1975 opening until around the mid 2000s. The shop was renamed Big Ben's Funnel Cakes in March 2018.

Seven years ago today I married the most wonderful man on earth. I knew he would be a great dad, but I didn't know just *how* great.

Happy Anniversary, babe!

I love you!

"He lives on Wright Lane."

That's in the Kensington area of London, near the hotel in which we were staying.

It works. Don't view it here, it's boring over here. View it here where it is fully interactive and groovy. If you have to view it all flat and boring at least View On Black....

Just think what could happen if we all made a point once a week of trying something different.

I've been trying to search who did this and I figure it's this guy: www.flickr.com/photos/themuffinmanccb/ because he said 'thank you' on someone else's photo of this! So I hope this belongs to you The Muffin Man :) I likey.

This is Gran. When I was a little she taught me to toast scufflers on an open coal fire. Toast just doesn't seem to taste as good any other way. When she was younger she was into 'experimental cooking'. She once grilled some eggs. Only the once though! I've even heard that between the two great wars she used to cook a mean crow pie. I wonder if she still has the recipe.

Since she moved here she doesn't do the experimental cooking anymore. No longer does she bring mugs of hot chocolate for us in the depths of winter when we arrive on the motorbike. She now has people who attend to her every need.

Those eyes no longer twinkle back at you as they once did for they have grown dim. No more does she kick my butt at scrabble. No longer does she give out boiled sweets at a phenomenal rate.

And yet there are still fleeting flashes of brilliance as she quizzes me at length about everything and anything. Times gone by… and times present. Who is...? How is...? Where is....? When is....?

This is part of a bigger set that makes more sense as a whole.

I stopped in to see The Muffin Man after my walk. He sends his regards.

Some of you may remember the series of photos I took of my Gran depicting how old age affects people.

This is Mrs Maginn on her wedding day during World War 2.

Thanks to my Mum for digging it out to complete the series and add some perspective.
