Often used as a stop on the end of a rope so it wont split open (at least I use it for this purpose sometimes).

The back of this egg was infinitely more interesting since it reflected the lights from Canada Square

One of the sculptures in "Sculpture by the Sea" in Sydney, November 2009. This sculpture "the eight" by Stephen King is inspired by a rowing eight holding their boat aloft.

The Eight by Bull with PhoenixEgg by Norma Vondee to the right. The Big Egg Hunt 2012 saw 210 exquisite unique decorated eggs being hidden around London. Over Easter weekend all the eggs were on display at Covent Garden. The event raised money for "Elephant Family" and "Action for Children"
