Travelling back in time to October 2011 (10 years ago!) when I was into cloud photography. :) Kelly Delay’s Clouds 365 Project was hugely inspiring to me.

I remember 2011 as a bittersweet time... It’s funny, but not a lot has changed. I still love photography and music; besides my little family, they are everything to me. ♡

On many a hike I've pondered (yes, aloud) why am I doing this? On most of those occasions there has been a payoff of some sort. Today was something different. When I neared the pinnacle of the trail to Silver Falls and was hit by a sudden chill in the otherwise oppressive heat of the dense forest that I'd been traversing I knew that I'd found the falls that I sought. The moment that I topped the hill into the clearing facing this marvel is difficult to explain. I picked up the camera two years ago and ever since have tried to convey the beauty around me and today I stumbled upon a place of indescribable, soul wrenching, heart surging, peace inspiring beauty like I've never seen. This photo can not convey the sound of the boulders being heaved, the pounding of the flow as it raced by, the sheer knee shaking euphoria that one gets from standing here and witnessing this force of nature. Everyone in the world should stand right here for ten minutes, if they did there would be no more strife.

Bob Dylan – Blowin' In The Wind

How many roads must a man walk down

Before you call him a man?

How many seas must a white dove sail

Before she sleeps in the sand?

Yes, how many times must the cannon balls fly

Before they're forever banned?

The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Yes, how many years can a mountain exist

Before it's washed to the sea?

Yes, how many years can some people exist

Before they're allowed to be free?

Yes, how many times can a man turn his head

Pretending he just doesn't see?

The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Yes, how many times must a man look up

Before he can see the sky?

Yes, how many ears must one man have

Before he can hear people cry?

Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows

That too many people have died?

The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind

The answer is blowin' in the wind.

now that i have the answers, i find myself wondering if i was ready to ask the question.

Michael Patten was a professor of ancient civilizations at Gotham University, specializing in lost civilization and the theories behind their disappearances. His lectures and theories caught the attention of the Riddler, leading to him consulting Patten for riddles for his crimes. Due to the fact that the Riddler is, well, the Riddler, Patten agreed, and aided Nygma in creating riddles for crimes. However, Nygma purposefully rigged the riddles so that the clues would lead back to Patten. Arrested and disgraced, Patten began to seek out vengeance. When he was released from Black Gate, he became the Answer, calling himself, “the answer to Gotham’s seedy underground.” Patten’s violent take on justice put him at odds with Batman, leading Patten to add Batman to the problem he seeks to answer. In his mind, Batman’s approach to justice is a problem, and only he can answer it

I've been wanting to get a shot of one of these little guys for SUCH a long time!! :-)

Taken in my friend's garden this evening. He was on a tiny bit of grass, which was blowing all over the place. I'm surprised that he stayed still for long enough to get this one in focus.

Taken and uploaded for "The World Through My Eyes"' Weekly Scavenger Hunt.

Subject: Depict "the answer".

Alphabet soup, anyone...?

at the conclusion of the banquet, (literally as we finished our hennessey in the parking lot), i was invited by the wedding party to join them at the temple the following morning.

the ride across town was a whirlwind: a fast car, a fast presentation of protocol.

no cameras allowed inside, i captured this image as we walked back out. if i'm looking a little bewildered, it's because, well... i was. feeling bold, i spontaneously decided to participate in a ceremony of inquiry, and have to admit i was a bit stunned at the results.

they had my attention when the interpreter randomly mentioned dreams, then went on at length about a mountain of water; it just got weirder from there.

Every time I see a bridge I think of this story.

~The Bridge~

Once there was a man who had a son that he loved very much.

The man worked as a bridgemaster for the railroad.

His son loved to watch the trains and the people who traveled on them.

People who were lonely, angry, selfish, hurting, and addicted.

A tragic mistake leads to an unimaginable choice.

Allow everyone on the train to die or pull the lever and allow his son to

be crushed by the bridge.

The saving of all required the sacrifice of the ONE most dear.

Yet the sacrifice of one brought the assurance and hope for the future.

Someone died for you, whether you acknowledge it or not.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

“So many roads to travel

Which one is for me

Where can I find answers

When will these eyes see

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on

Questions ever endless

Though the truth be only one

Everything is finished

But we’ve only just begun

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on

Flow on, flow on , flow on….

Rushing to the ocean

Drifting out to sea

The answer’s in the motion

Of the Love inside of me

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on river

Flow on

Flow on, flow on, flow on….”

As I post this image I think: The planets are spinning, the wind and the rivers sing their songs and we open our hearts to join in the immensity of a journey we are all a part of and are free to fully explore. The words are a song I used to sing with my friend in rounds. This morning I picked up the guitar and sang it again after many years. One day soon I will record some of these songs to share with you.

Teyana Taylor’s New York City childhood was made up of youthfulness, teen years, and adulthood shaped by her incredible passion for sneakers. So it was natural that she jump at the chance to collaborate with a sneaker brand. Reebok fit the bill perfectly. Fortunate for us that Tey...

The solution to yesterday's photo for the day.

It's the router - modem (or whatever they're called in English) for the telephone and Internet.

It sits on top of the Livebox Play which is the decoder for the TV.

Having read DaveSPN's comment just before we had dinner I thought I'd explain why France seems to be slow in its computer technology.

Long before the Internet France and other countries too had Minitel en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minitel

As people could get almost as much information they wanted via that, they were possibly slower to change to the Internet and WWW than some other countries.

When we got our modem we were also given a device for fibre-optics too. But, as yet Orange ("France Telecom"), have not told us when this service will be available, although one of the other providers is already advertising their system on TV.

a novel about identity...strange and fascinating....much to think about

And if so what is the question

Since it is 10/10/10 I thought I would do a related post, now the non geeks out there may not get this so let me explain

101010 is binary for 42, which for fans of Douglas Adams books will understand what that is the answer for

I also tried to meet todays dailyshoot.com assignment of "Create a photograph with a distinctly asymmetrical composition today. Pick your subject carefully to go with the theme. "

I am happy with my creativity here but not with the shot, but after a few tries this is the best I could get

Also I included two Nickels as people born on 10/10/55 will have turned 55 today

Mmm-hrmm. Wagging that cute little tongue like she's rollin' with Miss Molly, Miss Thingus Herselfness is so Turnt Up; she just can't stop. No, really : Baby Girl's been glitched and gacked within a byte of bitin' it, but if you point your peepers south to the commentarium? There she should be : fully animated, hues both super-saturated and faded, and so frickingoddamn About That Life, she "don't take nothin' from nobody."

Project 365/361. The Jawab is one of the two red sandstone buildings at the far end of the Taj Mahal complex. It's primary purpose was architectural balance, although it may have been used as a guesthouse.

I found the answer in an abandoned industrial facility. Who would have known?

I'm 42.
