──────────── THANK YOU

River Thames from Southbank

Thane Creek is close to where I live. Took this picture in the evening just before the Sunn went below the horizon and managed to get the reflection of the sunlight of the boats hull. Contrasting the boat very well in this picture.

Sorry for interrupting the series of Tringalwadi Trek.

This was shot @ Talao Pali, Thane.

A popular hang out place for Thanekar's.

Bhupya thanks for letting me use your camera :)

Just finished reading "Lost Stars", a fantastic canon novel written by Claudia Gray.

The story about Ciena and Thane is so cool that I had to make a quick shot of them, as a reminder of what they'd been through. After this one, watching the Battle of Yavin, Hoth or Endor will never be the same, not to mention that now (I think) we know the story behind that ISD wreck on Jakku!

Dwarf Thanes are the patriarchs of a Dwarf Clan and a powerful military leader within a Dwarf army.

Each Thane has within him a vast experience combating the enemies of their race, often built up over several centuries of constant warfare and strict studies.

When battle is joined, it is the Thanes, with their finely crafted armor and rune-inscribed weapons who seek out the enemy's most powerful combatants, matching bestial fury or dark magic with courage, honour and honest steel. Most Thanes are readily identified by the large wings that protrude from their helmets.

This MOC is a pinnacle of my passion for Dwarfs and Warhammer Fantasy Battles Universe. I spent about 2 months for it and proud and pleased with the result.

I wanted to try myself in maxifigures. Its new “genre” for me. At first I wanted to build in standart size, but during reflection process I understood, that detailed and curved lines I can get only in bigger MOC. It was hard to me to say what sizes it should be, so I decided to build separately body parts. And the boot was built… The harder part for me were the pants. I’ve rebuilt it four times. And as a result we have grim and grumpy Dwarf Rori Dulgisson 52 cm tall, and weight about 2.5 kg. Thanks to my wife for cape. Runes of Power she made with golden thread.

Also wanted to thank

Fisher man reconstructs his destroyed Kattumaram after Thane Cyclone, December 2011.

Thane became a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm during December 28, before as it approached the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, it weakened slightly. Thane then made landfall early on December 30, on the north Tamil Nadu coast between Cuddalore and Puducherry and rapidly weakened into a depression.

Ex-LNER Gresley/Thompson A2/2 pacific 60505 ''Thane of Fife'' near Potters Bar on the East Coast Main Line, on an overcast day in around 1958.

The loco had been rebuilt from a Gresley P2 2-8-2 by Thompson in 1943, and was withdrawn in November 1959, and scrapped later that same month. None of the Thompson pacifics survived.

Today (2023) these tracks are electrified, and the trackside telegraph wires have long since vanished..

This guy was my first BJD. He arrived to me in 2008 and I still have him of course. An old companion, he is. :) /I just wish it wasn't so hard to find glasses I like for him. Even these I hate... ugh/

I just realized I didn't upload anything to flickr in ages! I will have to fix this, when I have some time to browse the sea of pics to be uploaded. >_>

I hadn't really planned on train chasing, but Mike phoned me to say what he was doing, so I thought what the heck, I may as well do the same. On a gloomy afternoon that got steadily colder, a loaded Watco grain train from Thallon holds the loop at Thane, while an empty heads west.

Neiiiiiiiiiige ♥
