This is Novoslobodskaya Metro station on the Koltsevaya Line in Moscow. I don't really have any decent shots of this city, apart from the metro station. This isn't actually lens distortion, but the actual shape of the walls. How awesome is that? On another note, I'm off to Jordan in a few weeks with Jimmy Mcintyre and Michael Murphy!

Monochrome capture of Skogafoss, one of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland. (Also a common photo, but I like it).

Noah asked me to do the white hightlights in his piece cuz he enjoyed one to many refreshments that day...It was a priviledge.
I met Shauna about 2 years ago while she was the current Miss Teen Ventura County International during a local parade. I’ve photographed her at charity events, pageants, etc since then, but it wasn’t until this last week that I had some 1 on 1 time with her. Or rather… 11 on 1. Her new agency in Hollywood asked her to get new headshots and referred her to a photographer. She needed some headshots for editorial work, and then some other shots which showed a more commercial look to her. I’m not going to mention how much the photographer they referred her to was charging, but upon asking me, I said, “how about we trade – you let me and my students photograph you during class next Wednesday and you can have any photos we take for free”.
This photo I took of her was in the middle of the courtyard, and the crazy children on the playground were bokeh’d out by my Nikkor 85mm 1.4D lens. (Yes, bokeh can be a verb).
She and her agent were thrilled with the shots. The kids students also enjoyed watching a pro me in action, describing all the minute details of why I do things a certain way.
In fact… NEXT Wednesday, July 27th, we will be having our field trip out at the Ventura pier. Probably get there around 6pm and shoot until sunset. If you’re roaming around and want to hang out with a crusty old photographer with spiky hair, bowling shirt and crooked smile us, you’re more than welcome to just show up.
