Smyrna is the oldest documented church building in Arkansas and is among five known antebellum churches still standing in the state. I photograph this church a lot since it is not a long drive. Decided it was time to give it a texture treatment.

A fallen cedar tree in it's 2nd life. Takes a long time to decay but in the meantime it makes excellent landscape timber, a home for bugs, perch for birds and a playground for squirrels.

The last moments of winter sun expose the varying textures on the side of an empty stone train as it passes Westerleigh Junction in March 2017.
66034 provides the motive power for this afternoon train from Acton in West London to Moreton-on-Lugg, in the Welsh borders.

I like taking pictures of mountains. I can't believe it's december already. time flies
I saw this quote from Anne Morrow Lindberg from a training deck at work, and it really struck a cord with me. I really despise people who are fake or say things they don't mean. I strive to be real and to be who I am. It's foolish to be someone you are not because not only do other people see through you but you will see through yourself. Then one day you will look back at yourself and wonder who you have become.
