Douglas Coupland x Waldorf Hotel x Kris Krüg
On Thursday May 26, esteemed author and visual artist Douglas Coupland will be hosting an interactive presentation on Marshall McLuhan and YouTube at The Waldorf Hotel.
Leading up to the event, we will be mounting a series of statement about the event on our outer events Marquee. Each statement is being documented by media activist Kris Krug.

The explanatory notice about a large panel showing York scenes as interpreted by the artist, Emily Harvey, from responses by 600 residents on the theme 'What York means to us'. It is a bas-relief tableau recently installed on a curved wall in Explore York (the central library).

day! How I pray for it! And how the dreams and prayer make light the burdens I have borne since I was a student at Government College! The pain is to have spent a lifetime on this and to see no light at the end of the tunnel. Well, not quite. Something has happened to the Ogoni people in the last 4 years which owes itself to me as initiator, but to all the rest of you as well.
