This started out at the same time as my babushkas - I was trying different shaped outlines (this outline is very rough). So I finally went back to that page in my art diary, didnt want to do more babushkas because the shape wasn't real traditional. Decided on an Asian style because I felt the top part of the outline would be ideal for bangs for hair, and it went on from there. Sometimes I wish I would spend more time paying attention to detail lol, Oh well! thanks for looking :)

We were looking forward to spending time inside Fresno State Bulldog Stadium with our cameras. Evidently we weren't "authorized" to be there, and were politely asked to leave by campus police. We managed a few more shots inside the stadium and then looked for fun/interesting subjects outside the gate.

Driving up U.S. 1 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, we came across this wonderful old Dairy Queen....with a new sign, yes, but with the old one too!
There is a plaque in front of this Dairy Queen proclaiming that in 2009 it received the "Donnadine Miller Memorial Historic Preservation Award". Good for them; I know I was absolutely delighted to come across this and hope to visit it again next year.

The astounding network of the Cu Chi tunnels are probably the main attraction in this site, apart from the various defenses and booby traps set up by the Viet Cong to destroy their US enemy. Other above-ground attractions include caged monkeys, vendors selling souvenirs, and a shooting range where visitors can fire a number of assault rifles, such as the M16 rifle or AK-47, as well as a light machine gun like the M60. This large blue sign announces the shooting range where you can supposedly 'enjoy' some shooting. (Cu Chi Tunnels, Saigon/ HCM, Vietnam, Nov. 2016)
And no, I don't really care much about vampires. or empires. or newspapers (the paper part). But mashed up, now that's something else.
