Pinch River's objective is to produce high quality products. Handmade items often display characteristics that are different from mass produced items, this does not make them flawed or inferior but instead makes them unique. All care is taken to accurately represent the true colours of the fabric, however the colours that appear on your monitor may vary from the actual colours of the fabric due to monitor settings.

A research project on new natural composite materials for product design. The project is carried out in collaboration with Danish industrial designer Martin Larsen and with senior engineer Tom Løgstrup Andersen from Risø, the Danish National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy. With the project, we are aiming at developing new materials that combine the brilliant mechanical properties of natural fibers with their tactile aesthetic qualities by casting a woven textile in a biopolymer. The outcome of the first year of experimentation was exhibited at the Craft and Design Biennale 09 at the Danish Design Museum Trapholt over the summer of 2009. Martin and Karina were awarded a prize by The Danish State Art Foundation for their work as well as they have received funding from The Danish Nationalbank Jubilee Foundation of 1968.

Angelika made a wonderfully dreamy forest of colorful trees inspired by the circular line designs and tree rings often seen in Hundertwasser paintings. She began with a industrial needle fleece and laid lots of colorful wool fleeces and strands over it to create her vibrant design. She even used silk paper in the trunks! Great design and way to get that master piece felted!

Ebba von Eckermann is a Swedish textile designer, who had her own fashion label during 1950- 60- and 70s. The production was situated in the small village Ripsa in the county of Sörmland, but the clothes were sold in both Paris and New York. To inspire America retailers, Ebba and the photographer K W Gullers made an album with photographs and a story about the production, the company, and Ripsa. This photo and its caption is photo nr 41/44
