The last part of our world trip is a two-week tour of the British Isles.
We make stops in London, Edinburgh, Stoke-On-Trent, and Cambridge. Friends, family, ancient castles, hiking, picnics, museums, travel by Tube, and a lot of tea. Thanks to the world for a great year!

FS 102 FD6 ; exp 68x40 sec 1600 iso, from 04H38 to 05H29 UT.
The vignetting is very severe due to the extremely high contrast filter applied to the image, despite the fact that a flat was also applied.
Nothing convincing can be seen from the comet.

This one was open on Heritage open weekend. I have visited 25 mills and so am a bit over them, but this one was quite nice, and the job that the people who own it (the descendants of the original owners) is really good. They hope to turn it back into a centre of the community, just like it was at various points in the last two hundred years. It was used for filming Emmerdale and Heartbeat in the past.
The US Army is trying to expand its existing Pinon Canyon training grounds to the size of Connecticut, confiscating scores of southeastern Colorado ranches and evicting hundreds of families from the land they've worked for a hundred years. (Sign lit by my headlights.)

Mesrob determined a need of 36 characters for the alphabet and decided to write the characters from left to right as in Greek. He retained a number of Greek letters and altered others to fit in with the aesthetic pattern that they had adopted, thereby retaining the order of the Greek alphabet as much as possible.
