About six months of a normal year, many homes in the Coachella Valley are empty. The other months, they are filled with guests from cold places like Park County, Wyoming and Saskatchewan. Instead of shoveling snow, guests get 80-degree, sunny days. The local economy, before hatred of foreign nationals became fashionable, would boom around the holidays. This gallery has some nice furniture, fine art, even a vintage model airplane or two. Remember the ones tethered with cords that flew in a circle around the pilot? I've visited about five times in 30 years. It's worth a visit. I can afford an ash tray.
