Busseto, from the tenth century, was part of the state of Pallavicino, the first testimony dates back to the era of Adalbert, the founder of the family, who in 985 rebuilt the walls and built the fortress for about five hundred years later the capital of what became known as the "Pallavicino State".

More testimony to my stubborn refusal to accept the widely offered advice to cull non-keepers, this image was taken more than two years ago, on 1/25/19. I was wandering through the old stuff and stumbled across it, and made a pretty good run at processing it. I like the lines, textures, and subtle colors, and I hope you do too.
The territorial expansion towards Chinchaysuyo (now Ecuador) took place towards the middle of the 15th century and culminated in the first decades of the 16th. It was initiated by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui, son of Pachacuti Inca, the "renovator of the universe" and true builder of the Tahuantinsuyo or Empire of the Incas. The example of the great Tupac Yupanqui was followed by his son Huayna Cápac, until he submitted under his power the entire "universe" then known, with more than 6,000 kilometers of North-South extension and fundamentally affecting the people of the Sierra, since they felt no interest in the low plains of the West Coast and in the endless Amazon rainforests of the East. This empire included on the one hand the widest diversity of peoples, cultures, languages, cults and technologies, and on the other an extraordinary variety of ecological resources; factors with which thanks to an administrative, economic and theocratic system imposed by the Cuzqueños, the largest civilization that has existed in Andean History was structured.
The Incas had no major difficulty in dominating the Cañaris and Puruháes (in Ecuador) with whom they applied a very common strategy in them: the friendly system of reciprocity with the heads of the groups until they achieved their subordination; This method had given them rapid and successful results in Bolivia and Peru; while in the northern villages they had to apply the severe military conquest due to the stubborn resistance they encountered. Testimony of those fierce battles was precisely that of Yahuarcocha (lake of blood) whose waters were dyed red with the blood of the brave Caranquis who succumbed to Huayna Cápac himself.
The invaders captured from the conquered the long tradition and knowledge they had about agriculture, metallurgy, production of luxury products, extraction of the Spondylus shell, salt, coca, etc. Here they found a prodigal nature, with humid rainforest, mangroves and coastline on the coast; wide valleys, grasslands and fertile mountains in the Sierra. This geography counteracted with the ecological systems of the puna, reduced fertile spaces, or the extensive coastal deserts that predominate in the Central and Southern Andes, characteristic of present-day Peru.

The building is considered an important testimony to Swiss industrial architecture in the formal language of New Building. The building, which was extended by Roland Rohn (1905-1971), is an ideal embodiment of the architectural corporate identity created for Roche and taken up again by Herzog & de Meuron. In 1953 Roland Rohn extended this building to the south in keeping with Salvisberg's architectural language and created the end of the Roche site to form Solitudepark.

The Roche Tower (Building 1), also known as Roche Tower, is a high-rise building in the Swiss city of Basel. The building is the headquarters of the pharmaceutical group Hoffmann-La Roche, which is also the owner and developer of the building. At 178 metres, the Roche Tower clearly surpasses the 126-metre-high Prime Tower in Zurich, which was previously the highest high-rise building in Switzerland. However, the country's tallest free-standing building is still the St. Chrischona television tower, 250 metres high and only a few kilometres from Basel. The high-rise building serves purely operational purposes and is not accessible to the public. The Roche Tower, designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron, was built as part of an extensive structural restructuring of the Basel headquarters, which from 2021 will also include Building 2, which is currently under construction at 205 metres.

AVISTAR ♛ Japan was inspired by Sakuramochi, Kansai-style, a traditional spring pastry made of a sweet pink mochi and red bean paste, and covered with a lightly salted Japanese cherry blossom leaf, from the Sakura tree. But it can have several forms depending on the region where it is made.

When I come to places like this I am struck by the testimony of creation. It brings praise to its Maker and it begs for our gaze to be set heavenward with our eyes fixed on Jesus the One who made it all. What leaves me awestruck is that this is only a mere glimpse of the beauty we will one day see!
