Why a car? Because the Tesla stands for one of the most important changes of this century: Zero Emissions - good-bye gasoline motor.

taken at Crestwick Island built by Isa Messioptra

I have seen quite a few Tesla Cybertrucks around Glendale, but this is the first time I saw one on my street. And whoever owns it parked right in front of our apartment building. Someone had just pulled out of that spot, leaving it open for anyone else to park. In this case it was the Cybertruck owner. Fortunately, they didn't stay around long. I was beginning to get a little paranoid and thought it was going to catch fire on its own, or even explode. My car was parked in front of it. (I framed the shot so you wouldn't see my car, but it was there.)

[Update: I also enabled the possibility to turn this model into a real LEGO set by putting it on LEGO Ideas, where people can vote for it: ideas.lego.com/projects/137950 ]

Finally I created a 360° view of my LEGO Tesla Model X, that I built back in March 2016: www.flickr.com/photos/94844382@N07/25893436066/in/album-7...

0 - 97 km/h: 3.7 Sekunden

Erwartete Lebensdauer des Akkus: 7 Jahre

Basispreis: € 119'500

The Tesla Design Studio is next to SpaceX in LA. Franz and team have sculpted a visual beauty, while achieving an impressively low coefficient of drag (essential to EV efficiency).

I recently interviewed Elon about design and aesthetics, and he offered a fascinating peek into his mind. I stayed with the subject and by minute 46 to 48, he describes his visceral agitation with imperfection, and the need to shut that off sometimes.

After “the highest single-day sales of any product of any kind ever in world history” (Electrek), the first week rolled in “325,000 reservations, which corresponds to about $14 billion in implied future sales, making this the single biggest one-week launch of any product ever. This interest has spread completely organically.” (Tesla Blog)

And in the category of the surreal, here is a Tesla racing a Boeing 737... The new performance metric: Zero-to-liftoff in X seconds. =)

This is a Lego model of a Tesla Supercharger, the world's fastest charging station.

Superchargers are used by Tesla owners while travelling between cities to charge their cars on longer distance trips that are outside of the range of a single charge.

More information on Tesla Superchargers can be found on Tesla Motor's website: www.teslamotors.com/supercharger

Note that the Telsa logo, and the design of the Supercharger belong to Tesla Motors.

Lego does not support or endorse this model.

In my humble opinion, this is one of the most awesome cars on the planet 👍

Let me start by saying that I’m 57.5 years old and this car made me feel like a teenager all over again.

As some of you might have guessed, I am a commercial pilot & I mentioned that because the Tesla rivals some aircraft in cockpit technology (which blows my mind) and in many ways functions very similar to many high end avionics suites.

It does after all have an “auto pilot” which is just steps away from being completely autonomous.

Simply amazing and probably the coolest thing that I’ve purchased in my entire life.

Electric. Not my Tesla, I have purchased two hybrid cars! They are so quiet at slow speeds!

KLAX (Los Angeles International Airport) - 29 DEC 2016

"Gulfstream Six Two Eight Tango Sierra" from Cancun International Airport (CUN/MMUN) on short final to RWY 25L.

This aircraft is registered to Falcon Landing LLC, but is owned by Elon Musk - founder, CEO, and CTO of SpaceX; and co-founder, CEO, and product architect of Tesla Motors. The "TS" in the registration is for Tesla Motors and SpaceX.

Very over processed shot of an first generation Tesla Motors Model S captured in the wilds of downtown Sanford, Florida.

Went for a test drive in the prototype build... It starts indoors…

With no emissions and only the sound of a fan, the car can sneak up behind you. So I had to pitch the idea of downloadable “engine ring tones” coupled to the drive electronics and stereo. Their ice driving test video sounds like skiing…

(and, no, that is not a long extension cord running to the car ;-)

KVNY (Van Nuys Airport) - 27 SEP 2020

"Gulfstream Six Two Eight Tango Sierra" on takeoff roll on RWY 16R for a short hop to Hawthorne Municipal Airport (KHHR).

This aircraft is registered to Falcon Landing LLC, but is owned by Elon Musk - founder, CEO, and CTO of SpaceX; and co-founder, CEO, and product architect of Tesla Motors. The "TS" in the registration is in reference to Tesla Motors and SpaceX.

Production Site: Savannah (SAV)

Test Registration: N677GD

Airworthiness Date: 31 MAR 2015

Delivery to Falcon Landing LLC: 31 MAR 2016 as N628TS

Hex Code: A835AF

Passengers: 18

Engines: 2x Rolls-Royce BR725-A1-12

It felt like a dream sequence.

With thousands of incoming requests, I happened to be at the right place at the right time to sign up for the first Tesla Model S Sedan, a fully electric, zero emissions car that can go 300 miles and 0-60 in 5.6 seconds.

(The “S-1” designation is a bit magical for me since the filing of a “Form S-1” with the SEC is the commencement of the IPO process. =)

After the car drove out into the party inside the SpaceX rocket plant for it’s public unveiling, Elon Musk took me for the first test drive of the new machine. I took a video of the whole ride.

One cool detail I missed in the video was the door handles extending linearly outward (providing a big grip for opening) and then retracting back into the door frame for a perfectly smooth surface.

The interior design is as radical as the iPhone; most of the dash is a 17" touch screen. There are no buttons or dials. And with a software-defined UI, various skins and web services are available over the 3G data link (as well as Internet browsing and HDTV). I’ll put another request in for an open interface for downloadable engine ring tones (the car is silent, so why not have the drive-by-wire data feed trigger the sounds of your favorite vintage gas-passing vehicle or rocket…)

The batteries and liquid-cooled AC induction motor (i.e., the entire weight of the drive train) are below the wheel line so it handles unlike any car I have experienced.

And that means that there is a trunk in front and in back and more interior space than any other sedan. Toss bikes with the wheels on through the hatchback. Or seat seven people.

Clearly I am enamored. Another short video from outside as the new customers for the Sedan take test drives around the block.

Very excited to announce that The Lego Tesla Cybertruck instructions is now available to order on Rebrickable.

rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-32403/lego911/tesla-cybertruck-l...

The matching Cyberquad bike and Elon Musk figurine will also be available separately.

This Cybertruck model is built inminiland 1:21 scale. It features height adjusting suspension on all four wheels, opening doors, frunk, load tub cover, tailgate, in-tub stowage, adjustable seating and more.

Probably the most exciting car launch for many a year, the Cybertruck looks like nothing else (at least nothing that is for sale).

The Cybertruck features an all-electric powertrain and battery systems. The performance figure are also extraordinary for this type of vehicle.

How do I buy?

Follow the link at the top of the text to go to rebrickable. This link will take you to the design instruction purchase page. Included are the design files, parts list and general guide.

If you need to save yourself the hassle of buying the parts yourself, please DM me for a quote.

Kind Regards,

I took this Interior fisheye shot of a Tesla Model S with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and a Canon EF 15mm F/2.8 Fisheye lens. I've got to admit the Tesla Model S touch screen is huge and amazing!

Tesla Motors is the first new successful American car company in the US in the last 60 years!

I shot this with telephoto from the VIP lounge above

Woo-hoo! They just delivered it tonight. Excited beyond words…

Model 3 VIN#F000005 on the left for Genevieve; my Model on the right

And here are all of my Model 3 photos.

Edison couldn't figure it out. One of Tesla's many accomplishments is the AC induction motor, the technology that makes the Tesla car perform as it does, with no friction brushes for contacts and no permanent magnets and no Rare Earth minerals (in contrast, a hybrid car like the Prius uses a kilogram of neodymium and 13kg of lanthanum).

Today, 90% of industrial motors are AC induction motors. It has been called one of the 10 greatest discoveries of all time.

The framed patent page above was a cool gift from a friend. Thanks!

“Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments. The present is theirs; the future, for which I have really worked, is mine.” — Nikola Tesla (1856-1943)

The first production Tesla has arrived in America.

The employees just shared their enthusiasm at the arrival of their carbon fiber baby on the company blog. Serial Number 1 was purchased by Elon Musk, of course.

Elon and Validation Prototype 10 (seen here) are at the Cleantech Conference lunch. By a show of hands, no one else in the audience could match Elon’s track record of having co-founded five companies and having five children under the age of four. ;-)

Motortrend (March 08) published the first test drive results, and they aptly describe what I felt driving this car:

“I'm almost grimacing as I release the brake and pound the accelerator to the floor. Whrrrrrrr... There's no wheelspin, axle tramp, shutter, jutter, smoke whiff, cowl shake, nothing. I'm being eerily teleported down the barrel of a rail gun, head pulled back by a hard, steady acceleration. Bizarre.”
