Tesla appears to not only be totally dominating the world of EVs but also the Mattel line up judging by how many of their castings they produce in both the Hot Wheels and Matchbox line ups. That fact does annoy many collectors but they are only responding to what they think a younger audience might like and one brand of vehicle they will be able to relate to in some way is Tesla, purely by how many of their vehicles they see on the roads.

I'm not a particular fan of Tesla cars in real life but quite like them in miniature form and to be fair to Matchbox they ensure each casting is as stock looking as possible.

Their Model X casting is still relatively new but already gets this glossy metallic maroon recolour for 2024 Case A.
