The Perito Moreno Glacier slowly makes its way down to the lower ground of Argentino Lake. At its end the Perito Moreno Glacier has an average thickness of 170m (558ft) with 74m (240ft) visible above the water line of the lake. With over 250 km2 (97 sq mi) of ice the glacier spans 30 km (19 mi) in length and a width of 5km at its terminus. Since 1968 rupturing ice has taken the lives of 32 people who were hit by flying ice. One of 48 glaciers that form part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, the high altitude field has a total area of 12,363 km2 (4,773 sq mi) of ice. Die Münchner U-Bahn ist neben der S-Bahn das wichtigste schienengebundene Massenverkehrsmittel der bayerischen Landeshauptstadt München.
ENG: In my smartphone memory is now a bit longer a small picture series with 7 photos of the newest subway station of Berlin. The speech is here from the subway station Museum Island (Museumsinsel).
The "Museuminsel" subway station is one of three of the newest subway stations in Berlin's Mitte district of the same name. It is part of the extension of the U5 underground line from Hönow deep in the east of the city beyond Alexanderplatz to Brandenburg Gate and on to the terminus at Hauptbahnhof. Construction had its groundbreaking ceremony in 2010 and it was ceremonially opened in mid-2021. The mega highlight here is the integrated starry sky. The other two new stations are also already in operation and bear the names "Rotes Rathaus" and "Unter den Linden".

Der U-Bahnhof „Museumsinsel“ ist einer von drei der neusten U-Bahnhöfe im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte des gleichnamigen Bezirks. Er ist Teil der Verlängerung der U-Bahn-Linie U5 von Hönow tief im Osten der Stadt über den Alexanderplatz hinaus zum Brandenburger Tor bis zur Endstation Hauptbahnhof. Der Bau hatte seinen ersten Spatenstich 2010 und er wurde Mitte 2021 feierlich eröffnet. Das mega Highlight ist hier der integrierte Sternenhimmel. Die anderen zwei neuen Bahnhöfe sind ebenfalls schon in Betrieb und tragen die Namen „Rotes Rathaus“ sowie „Unter den Linden“.
Die End- und Wendestation Wuppertal-Oberbarmen der Wuppertaler Schwebebahn ist der Anfang oder das Ende der ca. 13 km langen Schwebebahnstrecke in Wuppertal, die fast ausschließlich oberhalb des Verlaufes der Wupper verläuft / The terminal and turning station Wuppertal-Oberbarmen of the Wuppertal Suspension Railway marks either the beginning or the end of the approximately 13 km long suspension railway in Wuppertal, which runs almost entirely above the course of the Wupper River.
Every now and then I buy a few minutes on those electric scooters proliferating our city centres.
This is where the one's in Chester cut off. Sometimes it's faster than the bus depending on work.
As I waited for the tide to go out , I spotted this tree washed up on the strand line, with two very long tapering branches. I couldn't resist trying to balance a few stones on the very ends . The only problem was as soon as I placed a stone on, the branches bent alarmingly, and the whole thing moved. luckily there wasn't a breath of wind. They ended up a few feet lower than they started , it was the hardest balance I've ever done, even though it doesn't look anything special . Terminus is a great track by Half Man Half Biscuit, and the stones were at the terminus of the branches so it's fine. I do love the challenge .
ANVERS / ANTWERPEN - The Antwerp Central Station, also known as Middenstatie (Middle station) or Spoorwegkathedraal (Railroad Cathedral), was first used in 1905. The structure is made up from a steel platform covering and a stone station building in an eclectic style. Recently, the station was completely renovated and in 2007 a tunnel underneath the station and a part of Antwerp was opened, reverting the station’s status as a terminus where are all trains have to turn back. In 2009, the American magazine Newsweek chose the Antwerp Central Station as the fourth most beautiful train station in the World.
