La Terminal de Cruceros del Puerto de Leixões, se encuentra en Matosinhos, al noroeste de la Península Ibérica, al norte de la desembocadura del río Duero y cerca de la ciudad de Oporto.
Es el segundo mayor puerto artificial de Portugal y una de las mayores y más importantes infraestructuras portuarias del país luso.
El equipo responsable del proyecto de arquitectura, liderado por Luis Pedro Silva, ha creado un edificio de suaves formas curvas que parecen estar en movimiento, como si a través de esas ondulantes paredes blancas todo quedara unido, el cielo, el mar y la tierra.
La terminal es como una gran bisagra blanca, con rampas y brazos sinuosos que se curvan en diferentes direcciones hacia el puerto deportivo, el nuevo muelle y la orilla.
En el interior, esos brazos que acogen al pasajero nos invitan a pasear a través del edificio. Unas rampas blancas, como tentáculos de un pulpo, junto con escaleras mecánicas llevan al turista al nivel del suelo, donde se encuentran la aduana y la zona de control de los equipajes.

The container terminal CTT was opened in 1977 as the second container terminal after the container terminal Burchardkai, which had been growing since 1968, in the former port of Neuhof. The Port of Hamburg and Logistics (HHLA) took over the operation of the CTT in 1996. For expansion, the volcano port was filled between 1999 and 2003, so that the new terminal is now partly over the buried bunkers of the Second World War. As a result, two more berths could be set up for more in-depth ships. In 2008, a new freight yard was opened, which quintupled the capacity of the terminal.
Eröffnet wurde der Containerterminal CTT 1977 als zweites Containerterminal nach dem seit 1968 gewachsenen Containerterminal Burchardkai im damaligen Hafen Neuhof. Die Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) übernahm den Betrieb des CTT im Jahr 1996. Zur Erweiterung wurde zwischen 1999 und 2003 der Vulkanhafen zugeschüttet, so dass der neue Terminal heute teilweise über den verschütteten U-Boot-Bunkern des Zweiten Weltkriegs steht. In der Folge konnten zwei weitere Liegeplätze für tiefergehende Schiffe eingerichtet werden. 2008 wurde ein neuer Güterbahnhof eröffnet, der die Kapazität des Terminals verfünffachte.

I met a local photographer here at the grain elevators, who told me that there is a pair of Peregrine Falcons that nest and hang out at the top of this building. I did not see them on this very windy day, but I did see a Bald Eagle on the other side of this building.

This is the roof construction at the airport in Hamburg at terminal 1. I really love the play of shadow and light, and the calmness. If you lowered the camera you would see a complete different picture. Hamburg Airport is the fifth-busiest of Germany's commercial airports measured by the number of passengers and counted 17,231,687 passengers and 156,388 aircraft movements in 2018.
Hoboken Terminal is a commuter-oriented intermodal passenger station in Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The site of the terminal has been used since colonial times to link Manhattan Island and points west. It was long a ferry landing accessible via turnpike roads, and later plank roads (namely the Hackensack, the Paterson and a spur of the Newark Plank Road). In 1811, the first steam-powered ferries began service under John Stevens, an inventor who founded Hoboken.
It was a nice day so I decided to take a hike and try a new spot just south of town and wait on the Illinois Terminal heritage unit. Here's NS #1072 & UP #7272 bringing train #366 across the South River on the southeast side of Atlanta, GA.
Ein Kormoran genießt nach einer frischen Nacht die ersten, wärmenden Strahlen der Sonne. Weit draußen erkennt man im Hintergrund, aber da bin ich mir nicht so ganz sicher, die 2009 gebaute, 283 m lange "Neptune", jetzt zum schwimmenden LNG-Terminal umgebaut. Ich habe noch ein Bild, wo man das Ganze besser erkennt, es ist nicht nur ein Schiff, sondern gleich mehrere aneinander (?). Nachts ist der Komplex hell erleuchtet.

AMSTERDAM, Westpoort Afrikahaven - In 2006, a new terminal for the transshipment of coal was completed, with an area of 30 hectares and 1,150 metres Quay available for sea-and inland waterway vessels. A total of 2 million tons of cokes can be stored on site.
AMSTERDAM, Westpoort Afrikahaven - In 2006 kwam een nieuwe terminal voor de overslag van steenkool gereed met een oppervlakte van 30 hectare en 1.150 meter kade beschikbaar voor zee- en binnenvaartschepen. In totaal kan 2 miljoen ton steenkool op het terrein worden opgeslagen.
Lovely old barn, sadly condemned. There's a large crack down the right side wall which is a pity because it's in a quiet, pretty area near the river and could have been made into a lovely home.
CSX Z241-12 is heading down the Toledo Terminal at Vickers after having come down from Flat Rock via the Ann Arbor and getting on CSX at Hallett on the north side of town. They're not far now from their destination of CSX's Walbridge Yard. Northwood, OH 4/12/2010
