The grandkids (behind their mother on the ground) in Seattle. Always tempting danger. Just like I'd love to be today, tempting danger. I watch the reports of the waves in Galveston and I'd LOVE TO BE THERE! Wow - it's awesome. I'll be so glad when this is over but meanwhile - it's awesome!

The noticeboard in my hallway serves to jog my memory - without it I am struggling to figure out what day it is!

It is constantly changing - added to and taken away ... Full of tempting notices, postcards and all sorts of other jolly things!

We went to Brentwood for some cherry picking and saw this gopher peaking out from his den to reach out for the fallen cherries. I actually held out phone really close for my shot and he wasn't even fazed by it at all.

A hot Christmas Day in Adelaide brought this white-plumed honeyeater into our garden. Typically these birds are timid and flighty and don't hang around for long. But the cool water was too tempting.

Afternoon tea while you relax on a canal cruise

I wanted to have all six outfits grouped in one photo. The Sindys were such ladies throughout... A pleasure to work with.

I didn't mean to give them lines, but this is how my brain works all the time. I can't look at a doll without hearing it speak. Especially when they are in a group like this.

It was too tempting. There's probably a name for my condition, haha! And a facility to go with it.

Beautiful evening at the Carlsbad beach at dusk with a tiny inconspicuous moon on the top.

Was sitting at the end of the beach while watching the serene sunset and after the sun went down sharp silhouettes with an amazing backdrop of the multilayered hues of the sunset were tempting enough to pull the camera out from the backpack.

Photograph by itself looked minimalistic but the silhouette of the girl on the coast guard station gave the desired dimension and direction to the scene.

this isn't in the book, but i found this quote and thought of tempted. i think it goes with it perfectly! lolz

Spotted these gorgeous Dahlia blossoms in someone's garden, so I backed up the car & couldn't resist taking a few shots!

This week was awesome! My family and I took Madeline down to my Aunty's property and spent a lovely & relaxing week together. After taking her around Sydney the previous week, it was nice to just enjoy a place we know so well with the new member of our family. We drank lots of tea, ate too much food, watched a lot of movies, played a fair few games, saw some wombats and kangaroos & chilled by the fire.

On this particular morning, Madeline had made her way into my room and called out my name. She told me that Christian and her were going to take pictures in the fog and asked whether I'd like to join. Well, I practically jumped out of bed and got dressed as quickly as I could. I had no idea what time it was - I didn't care. So, we all made our way to the forest area of the property and just snapped away. We had no ideas and just winged it. I thought of this really quickly, just before our fingers and toes were about to fall off. Thanks to Madeline & Christian for modelling.

This was a simple blending of two exposures using the GIMP. Light exposure for water and hills, dark exposure for clouds/sky - just layer blending with no fancy techniques.

I was tempted to desaturate the green of the tree, but ultimately left it as is.
