Day 24
Today it was raining, like it usually does here. Luckily I was prepared with my Texas rain coat, which honestly just makes things wet and humid.
I went outside to our new backyard trail and took a few shots. I was prepared for the slight sprinkling of rain, but not for the amount of time that it took to get for my autofocus to behave.
I'm not sure what it is, but my focus is still off. It likes to focus on the trees behind me instead of my face.
My camera gear ended up getting so wet that I may have actually destroyed my camera remote. I took the batteries out and am letting it dry off downstairs, and in the past that's worked.
It's still surreal that we're finally here, after a week. We have spent the entire day so far just sleeping. We have to run errands soon, and I'm not looking forward to getting back in the car, but at least it's not still packed with everything under the sun.
We're staying at this location for a week or two, until we can find our own place. Everything's expensive here, so I'd like to find a renter for our old home before we get an apartment and get settled. We may have arrived, but we have a long way to go still.
Ok, we are finally ready for viewers... sort of, lol. Our theme is under construction untill we all decide on something but for now we are bringing you the info that counts. YAY!!!!!
This is what I call a TES (Temporary Event Sign) normally used in Road Works but this was was advising drivers to parking for the WRC Event in Wales with 2 stages taking place near the A44.
The bored lad in the middle was really wandering around, so the only usable shot I got of the costumed super-heroine was this aligned capture. Another from my photo walk in London Docklands that coincided with London Super Comic Convention 2014.
philosophy of pain (short version)
Wikipedia defines "pain" as a typical sensory experience that may be described as the unpleasant awareness of a noxious stimulus or a bodily harm. Individuals get acquainted to pain through various daily hurts and aches, and occasionally through more serious injuries or illnesses.
Nevertheless, pain is also a psicological contition or experience, caused by several circumstances.
In regular conditions, nobody seeks voluntarily, but there are some kinds of individuals that do so. They are called masochistics.
A masochist may not understand why has to pursuit pain in order to get pleasure (any pleasure; sexual, psicological, etc...), but some do.
Avoid pain is part of the core of the western culture, where pursuit of happiness (understood as the absence of any pain or unpleasant feelings), discarding the fact that we are only able to understand happiness having passed across pain.
Pain is the core of life. The only feeling that's able to makes us understand the meaning of suffering and understand happiness as a temporary reward.

Evitar el dolor es parte del núcleo de la cultura occidental, donde la búsqueda de la felicidad (entendida como la ausencia de cualquier dolor o sentimientos desagradables), descartando el hecho de que sólo podemos entender la felicidad después de haber pasado a través del dolor.
El dolor es el centr de la vida. La única sensación de que puede hacernos comprender el sentido del sufrimiento y entender la felicidad como una recompensa temporal.
