Residents of the Sutherland Shire will know that is 'temporary wall' has
become some what of a permanent fixture. Whilst the original break-wall
gets much need repairs we are left with a rather ordinary rusty steel
fence to curb the effects of erosion.
The worst part about this is when the surf picks up waves simply roll
over this fence and render it useless... come on council, PULL YOUR
FINGER OUT!!!

The Bund is a wide walkway along the river in Shanghai; a place with an awesome view at night and where people do tai chi in the mornings. It's the jewel in the city's crown.
It's also currently being totally rebuild for Expo 2010. This is as close as you can get to it. Note the choking traffic and temporary wall spoiling the view.

Akaroa, with its own beautiful bays and harbour and French and English history has an enormous range of activities to keep you busy for days. In Flea Bay you can take 4WD trips to the largest little penguin colony on mainland New Zealand. Akaroa waters are home to the rarest and smallest marine dolphin and all around you will find fantastic sea kayaking in spectacular surroundings. There are cruises, sail boats, cycle tours, mail runs, and an excellent range of walking tracks. Don't miss seeing the Hector's dolphins and other special wildlife on a harbour cruise. There is so much to see and do in Akaroa that you will need more than a day trip.
I went to get the plates and it turns out there IS a fracture so it has to be in a cast for 8 weeks, that is if next weeks plate shows no movement, otherwise I will need an operation. For now I have to stay off my foot completely and I am gonna live downstairs wich means no computer (at least for a few days because my sis is gonna help me move it downstairs soon). Bye for now :-(

Not having a garage or an outdoor cover yet, the still-unnamed scooter is driven into my basement office, where the convenient sliding door opens into the shared back yard. A folding aluminum ramp helps get the scooter in, where it scares the cats.
My basement office is constantly ventilated because the cat's litter box is down here too, which helps the fumes from building up. The slight smell of motor oil is rather pleasant.
