This band is local to New Haven, Connecticut, but they performed at 33 Golden Street, New London, Connecticut. Just purchased the Fuji Film 16 mm F1.4 lens to use when photographing bands. The lighting conditions are very low but with the Fuji Film X-T2 and this sweet new lens, I was able to photograph them without too much graininess. I used manual exposure and had good luck with this.

Frankfurt October 30. Protest against Corona measures.

M.J. Whittall Mills Complex (1870-1930), developed and operated by Matthew John Whittall, (1843-1922), Brussels Street, South Worcester District, Worcester, MA.

NE side of the former Rottman’s Furniture & Carpet Store complex. Various separate mill buildings were consolidated into one enclosed complex. The large tower is "part of a Whittall competitor’s 1884 spinning mill (eventually absorbed by Whittall), and the original spiral staircase is still there, inside the furniture store...."

But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life

Former office of the now defunct newspaper The Evening Telegram. Now it's a bank; in Portland, Oregon. The building is in the National Register of Historic Places.

Letters of love, where people write their feelings

Description: This telegram from Gerhart Riegner, Secretary of the World Jewish Congress in Geneva, was received by the Foreign Office in August 1940. The telegram was among the first pieces of unambiguous evidence received by the Allies that the Nazi Government planned a 'final solution' to the "Jewish question".

Some comments within the file show officials suggested the telegram be used to influence the Vatican to condemn German atrocities more strenuously. Another civil servant dismisses Riegner's report as a "rather wild story".

Samuel Sydney Silverman, the telegram's intended recipient, was the Labour MP for the Lancashire constituency of Nelson and Colne. Silverman was a campaigner for Jewish rights, amongst other causes including opposition to capital punishment.

Sunset at Pointe Saint Mathieu

Saint-Mathieu lighthouse (1835) near the Saint Mathieu abandoned Abbey.

Today abandoned, the Abbaye Saint-Mathieu de Fine-Terre, was said to have held the skull of the apostle Matthew, now lost in the ocean off the point.

From my uncle (Ruth's son) "My Mom once told me a story, that she took my father to the Subway in New York. Let’s say it was 110th St. She watched the train leave and the next day busted him for going to see another woman. He was flabbergasted, and sputtered some protest until she said, “You took an uptown train. It was empty. If you’d have been going to the Bridge you’d have sat down. But the next stop was 125th street, so you stood because you were getting off and catching a downtown train there. He confessed. Seems like trouble was brewing. Wish I knew the date."
