Bangkok's cabling, known for being complex and often chaotic on overhead poles, consists mostly of fiber optic cables for internet and telephone lines, not electricity, and is often tangled and left untidy. CAT Telecom (now National Telecom) manages the city's data network infrastructure.

Telecoms and Tele goes: Technology from the Microwave Era. Our local company TSTT seemed to be too slow to move away from copper and other legacy technologies and now faces stiff competition from other service providers.

Looking up at the BT Tower from its base, there are clear hints of Brutalism in and around its lower parts. Due to the high ISO, the sky was burnt out, so some "Sky Replacement" was used to set the monument against something similar to what was there that particular evening.

From radio signals to television and high-speed data communications, satellites that orbit our planet play a major role in how we communicate with each other around the world. Currently, there are over 1200 communication satellites in Earth's orbit.

I had to come up with an indoor photo today because I was working (yes I know its a Saturday!).

This was taken at work.

I imagine reception throughout Hua Hin is pretty good courtesy of this huge mast

The Moon lit Milky Way over the Telecoms Tower, just outside Limavady.

With a break in the dismal weather we have been having I headed out to take a few Astro shots. Not the best conditions with the moon illuminating the countryside. As I got to the tower the clouds started to roll in but I got a few shots in before being clouded out. Looking forward to the dark nights and more night sky photography opportunities.

Some time ago I went to Chefchaouen and Fez with my Brother.. Chefchaouen is known by it's blue painted streets, it started several years ago and as far as I know there is no particular reason for it, except it's just a tradition here.. :)

When I walked in this street I saw a man sitting, with a phone in his hand and at the left corner there was a sign with "Telecom Maroc".. It made me laugh a little bit, did you?

Like it or loathe it, the Stokenchurch Telecom Tower is a Chiltern landmark, visible for miles around. When travelling south on the M40, its a welcome sight, as you are getting near home.

I used to be a telephone technician in my twenties, and seeing a mess like this makes me cringe lol! I can only imagine trying to troubleshoot a problem in this tangled mess!

This is the Mauritius Telecom Tower, Édith Cavell street, Port-Louis, Mauritius.

A disused phone box in a rural location. The light had been decommissioned, so had to take my own LED to give it a new lease of life. They're now pretty much redundant in today's world, and are sadly slowly disappearing from our towns and villages.

First dabble in classic space building. Pinktron, of course.

Some things have changed more than others ;) (Antique phone booth - which houses the phone but the user speaks standing outside, from the turn of last century - next to contemporary bikes in everyday use today. They have evolved, too, but a lot less than phones?)
