You can see its teeth, they are apparently called parrotfish because their teeth are fused together like a parrot's beak. They use them to grind away at the coral. It has a cleaning wrasse attached at the top near the back.

It has been very dry out my way, at least by northeastern thirsty forest standards. Not a lot of mushrooms in most places, damn near none some places. So I decided I had to just chill and walk for the sake of walking. Looking too hard for mushrooms under these conditions just makes you nuts.
And because there weren't many mushrooms I went UP, not down. I like oak uplands. I thought there was an off chance I'd find a hen or so, but if not the view would be nice. There's more light up on the traprock. There's lots of pretty lichen. The quality of the light filtering through the oak canopy is more lively than what you find down under the maples.
I just climbed for a bit and enjoyed my hike. Then, coming down the back side, I descended into beech forest. All those gorgeous golden leaves under foot.
Pity, I thought to myself, Pity it's so dry. Pity because if I was a hedgehog mushroom, a sweet tooth, this is exactly the kind of habitat I'd love.
And then I looked down at my feet and there they were, about a dozen big beautiful fat ones!
