It is with a heavy heart that I announce the official retirement of one of my most well-known and well-loved horses, my 20yr old Russian Akhal-Teke Stallion, ZA Cross Dilemma.

Unfortunately due to a fracturing of his left hip and leg sustained via a freak self-driving trolley accident, he is no longer sound to be ridden. While he's not so lame that he has to be put to sleep thanks to our wonderful veterinarians, I just don't feel it's worth putting the strain on him. He's quite old for his breed, after all, and I only kept him as a pleasure riding horse as he seemed rather healthy for a senior, and he always enjoyed it... now that he's got some achy bones that we manage with medication, he's fully slowed down. So he gets to chill out and stay at home.

Thankfully his successor, ZA Cross Solve, is doing quite well in his training. He's got the same calm demeanor as his parents, and goes well over jumps or out on the trail. We might have some Akhal-Teke foals from him one day, but we haven't gone forward with it yet. Got other projects we're currently focusing on that I'll try to share here soon!

//Roleplay Story//

We went quiet for a while, but we're still alive! After that huge flood everything was absolutely destroyed. It was cheaper to just sell the land and move.

And move we did.

Don't worry, Chingis and another horse was found and they're both safe.

Those who been following and working with us for a while can tell you we go through a lot of horses, finding them homes. Those who have, however, may recognize a familiar face in these next couple of pictures!

That's right, it's Smokey. That poor little foal we had to give up. So what happened?

About 2 years ago we purchased a little foal by the name Smokey Bowmore. Smokey was a spirited little arabian and we all enjoyed him at the stables. We had him for a few months before finances burdened the stables and we had to let go of some horses. Including Smokey. It was just no place for a foal at the time, and during this time we lost Nomad's dad, Boss.

For those of you who don't know, Boss was the lead stallion of our herd at the time, living up to the age of 18. He was a very proud stallion and carried himself like he was top shit, but sadly, one morning Boss was being turned out and got hit with a heart attack.

Why's that story so important? Smokey loved Boss, as most of the lil ones did. Smokey didn't take the loss well at all, and mixed with the financial troubles, it was in his best interest to give him up.

Couple years later, after that flood, we got to moving everything and found a nice plot of land. My boyfriend, Cole, was up one night sitting on the computer, looking for a new horse for us to bring in and this little arabian that was for sale caught his eye, and once he got my attention to look, I took no hesitation to call up the owner.

We jumped through some hoops, one thing lead to another, and Smokey is now safe at his new, and forever home.

We were worried he wouldn't remember the horses he was around at the old place, but he luckily remembers Sage, Chingis, Nomad, and Bambi.

It'll take some adjusting, but he'll be just fine here. We're glad to have the spunky lil' guy back home.

//RP Post//

Been holding a bit of a secret and thought we'd finally share!

Cherry, an auction horse we had won and taken home about a year ago now has given us a little gift not too long ago.

We paired her with Nomad, one of our stallions at TRCS. We have no idea for a name for the lil' colt just yet, but we're brainstormin'!

»»————- Story ————-««

The stables have been getting slammed with terrible storms left and right for the past few weeks. We had a case of a missing horse that we had luckily found hiding out within the trees in the far back of our pasture.

However today, the one day there's no severe weather, Charity was just finishing up grooming Chingis, our lead stallion at the stables. At that time Nomad was grazing out in pasture.

All she had to do was turn her back for one second, and Chingis was gone.

Where'd he go?

Charity began to worry and freak out, whipping out her phone to get ahold of Rowan, her friend, and owner of Nomad.

Waiting for her friend to pick up, and to her horror, out in the field, the two stallions were going at it. Aiming for each other's throats, kicking, biting, thrashing.

What set Chingis off all of a sudden? Sure, they were two stallions, but they were far enough away, and they never bothered with each other.

Another quick glance around the barn showed that Mrs. Houdini herself, Bambi, aka Chingis' mare, had slipped out of her stall, and Nomad was getting too close to her for Chingis' liking.

Charity knew better than to try and get in between two stallions in a feud, especially over a mare. She kept trying to get ahold of her friend. Texting and calling. Anything to get an answer.

To becontinued..❤

-------------------------------------- STORY --------------------------------------

Well, this is it! After bringing the new broodmare to our newly-built ranch at Red Cedar, and making sure she was of good health and settled in, it was time to introduce her to my stallion. And just in time, too! She was just starting her heat, and that could make this... interesting.

The big moment was upon us. After getting the two stalls ready, opening their back doors into the paddock, and putting up a new nameplate over one for Enigma to call her own - I lead her into the stall and let her loose. She wasted no time heading out into the field to run around and check out all the fresh grass! But she wasn't going to be turned out alone for very long...

I approached my stallion's stall. "Alright boy, this is it. Don't play too rough with her." I said to him, but more so a spoken prayer to myself. While he had calmed down to be an amateur-safe horse with age and experience, Dilemma was still a stallion, and he was still an Akhal-Teke. I chose a nice younger mare that was more calm in nature, but she still had some spice to her. I knew my boy had quite enough of his own when he was young, too.

So I lead him into the second stall, and let him loose. It wasn't long before, he, too, tore out of the back door, and was out in the pasture, and went straight over to greet his new mare. Hopefully she likes him, too!

Finally! After waiting so long, I guess Enigma decided that with the one foal already on the ground, it must've been safe enough for her to release her hostage, too! And this time we hit the jackpot right from the start - a beautiful sooty buckskin colt. I'll name him after his sire, and with high hopes for the future.

Introducing...

ZA CROSS SOLVED

by ZA Cross Dilemma, out of Enigma.

Today we only have remnants of summer, most of the vegetation on our property has been turning various shades of brown, yellow, and red with the arrival of fall. Enigma and Solve were lucky enough to enjoy their turnout on the last of the green summer grass! Soon enough I'll have to bundle these two up, up Enigma's feed and possibly squirrel them away inside the barn for the coming winter. I can't wait to see this little colt grow!

Here he is..the meanest thoroughbred in all the land.

My good old boy NX Magnificence is feeling the autumn in his bones as he moves a little stiffly around his stall.

After a walk in the crisp air and a good grooming in his new stall. his movements gets softer and more fluid and he sighs contently as he eats the fresh apples.

Just a fun lil portrait of my lil mule lady

The raw muscle these animals possess. The determination, the need to survive, the power.

The physical strength of these creatures is not something to laugh at, or overlook. They have the power needed to absolutely crush and kill us, and have every right to.

But, they don't. Not intentionally.

They know who needs help the most just by a quick interaction. If you're scared, they're scared. If you're upset, they're upset. You can try and hide it all you want. They'll always figure you out.

If you're a horrid person? They'll know.

Horses are the embodiment of peace..yet, they are wild, unpredictable, and capable of putting you in the grave at the same time.

A horse's physical power is something no one should mess with, that goes without said. But their power to help those of us who really need a friend? Or a big shoulder to lean on when life just won't let you get back up? That's the strength of the horse we should always remember, and never take for granted. Because once you hurt that horse and lose that trust? That compassion and love?

Good luck getting it back.

Always seeing people pose with their horse, and the lil Breyer copy..why not do it for the Teegletoy too, yeah?

Just somethin' fun n' quick.

I have all these horses I make, and I love them dearly, but I never really had a horse that was just..mine. One I pour my heart and soul into.

So, I did just that!

Ziel Omizu's Journal - Dec 05 2022

One day while browsing one of the many sale sites I keep my eye on for potential "rescue" (or rehab-and-rehome) horses, I came across a familiar-looking mare. The advertisement was appalling and sparse, and my heart dropped when I read her registered name: HPR Dream Catchin' Dixie. A horse I had been responsible for in the past, but had to sell off as the town stable I was managing at the time was forced to shut down. I felt so terribly, terribly guilty for the situation and condition she had ended up in.

After taking some time to compose myself, I reached out to the seller to negotiate. I knew her age - she'd be 26 years old by now - and likely being retired for being unable to keep up, but they weren't fully honest on that. I used that and my good reputation to my advantage, pressuring them into lowering their (frankly ridiculous) asking price to just-above-realistic for a horse of her age. We agreed on a time of payment and pick-up, and then I waited.

The day had arrived. October 21st was a little chaotic on my end from some other trouble, but I managed to go pick her up, get her seen by a Dr. Lavender Layne to update her vaccines, and get her settled into the medical wing for quarantine.

A couple months have passed now, and she's been given the all-clear with her health to be moved into the main barn. After a lot of sitting and thinking about it with myself... this mare isn't going anywhere. Dixie is being retired from high expectations and heavy workloads - she'll be a pleasure horse and beginner schoolmaster for horses and riders until she's no longer sound, at which point she gets to be a gigantic, pampered pasture pet until she's ready to cross the rainbow bridge.

Finally, finally... Dixie has found her way safely home. And, boy... I had no idea how much I missed her.

Story time:

i went to too Teegls "Dog and Pony" not really looking to bring home a horse, but there he was Cronus a beautiful American miniature stallion. And all the memory's of my youth of, of all the care free times and driving carts with Shetland ponies.

After a talk with the owner i found out that Cronus was use to driving.

Smiling to myself, i went home to see if i still had my old pony cart.

And sure enough it was hidden away under years of dust, spiderwebs and hay. Luckily it was still in good shape and after some TLC it was ready to go. The next day i call'd the owner and now Cronos is mine and we just had our first drive on a beautiful autumn day.

----TR,CS Rp Story----

While we finally tore down the old stalls that had been here for god knows how long, after moving in, got these new ones up, we still had a lot of work to get done. And, of course, a storm had to blow in. Little did we know this storm would last days.

The place began to flood around the third day, we were safe, but the horses were not. The water level was close to touching the stable floors. Hard to see in this snap taken from our security camera, but it is rising.

Chingis never liked storms, and it was our faults for putting a riled up stallion in a stall he could easily jump, and so, he did. This was the last visual of him before the big stallion vanished.

We have no idea where he had gone. It's a flooding mess out there, god knows what happened to him. I had Kim place flyers wherever she could, and as fast as she could. That poor animal is lost, and most likely afraid, if he isn't dead.

I hope to find my baby soon..

The Vridus Horse is a relatively unknown breed of horse that originated in the Netherlands. They are known for their baroque body type, which is characterized by a short, muscular neck, a rounded croup, and a deep chest. They are typically black or bay in color and have a high-stepping trot. The breed is known for its strength and endurance as well as it's even temper. They are often used for dressage and carriage driving.

//

Thanks to my friend for putting that introduction together!

//

The Vridus horse is a personal breed I have recently mustered together after modding the Teeglepets. I really just wanted a friesian where I can make up my own rules about them. I don't plan on making these guys a public thing like the Trotters, but if you want to learn how to make one, can just hit me up.

Ever since Kim had adopted Sage, she had been told a bunch of different stories of what he was, and where he came from.

Some told her he was a jumper, others said he was a dressage horse, and the "US" branding was just a branding from the barn he came from. Kim would search high and low for videos, records, anything, showing Sage in discipline, but no matter what, she could never find him.

He always remained a mystery to her. Out of all the owners he had in the past, he was taken back weeks later due to his "violent" behavior, and she was warned of this the day she was to take him home. He'd buck n' kick, bite if you went near, he cribbed and weaved, and overall just..freaked out when there was a sudden hit of noises. Which, that last one wasn't much of surprise, but he always went over the top. The weirdest habit was him freaking out when everything was silent. Some kind of noise always had to keep going.

Eventually, Kim reached out online. Sending pictures and details of Sage, hoping someone had an answer. At the verge of just giving up, a woman reached out to her, explaining she was the daughter of Sage's first owner. Followed by old pictures of Sage, and the description of what his story was.

Sage, known as the old man at EE, was a retired military horse. A gelding of cavalry. At least for the first half. Sadly, Sage suffered a bullet to the leg and could no longer be used in the cavalry, but that didn't stop him. Once healed, Sage was used to save the wounded, and collect the dead. He also had appearances at the funerals of the fallen he had brought back.

It wasn't until Sage was blinded he had to completely retire. Tear gas caused his fate. Though it only causes temporary blindness, unfortunately Sage was left to endure it for several hours while those he rescued was taken away to be helped. They had no time, or the muscle, to haul a blinded horse with them.

After believing Sage was dead and gone, he made his own way back to his owner. He remembered the path, and the steps after going through them a million times.

Sage was, again, retired after this. Becoming one of the greatly decorated horses, even bearing the Purple heart.

After Kim had found all this out, she had a new found respect for her senior horse. The hell those eyes seen, the pain that heart felt. Oh the stories her could tell.

So why does he have all his weird quirks and freak outs? Sage now suffers from severe PTSD. But now that this is known, it'll be much easier to work with..

People have their Grand prix champions, their Triple Crown race horses, their jumpers..but Kim? She has one of the most bravest horses she had ever met.

She was able to get his old cavalry tack, as well as his badges, but keeps his Purple Heart up above his stall. Where he can have it showing proudly to all those who see him.

What a wonderful, amazing horse.
