Tonight, we welcomed two amazing Akhal Teke mares coming right from Turkmenistan. After hours of plane, they finally touched the ground and took the road until they reached to our Ranch. At first sight, they are really well shaped and we can tell their previous owner treated them well, one of them had even crowned shoes, just to say ! Now, they are settled up in their new stalls and we will soon see how trained they are, and maybe we can find them a new loving family.

After a long vacation time, I've finally returned home since yesterday. Friends took care of the Ranch and the horses during my absence, they were all happy to see me again, so was I !

Of course, after the road back home, I was too tied to work, so I've kinda spend the evening to just put my things away from the suitcase and then go see the horses. Today tho I went for a ride ! A smooth ride with this big girl, she's so relax and smooth that the ride was peaceful.

Glad to be back, and I've bring with me some nice memories and.. New horses, maybe ?

Remember that Wild Mustang Mare I've told you about some times ago ? She's doing fine, even if I still didn't manage to get on her back... She trust me enough to let me put tacks on her.. I really start to think she can't be tamed to become a riding horse.. So instead of pushing her or forcing her to accept someone on her back, I'm just bringing her walking in the wild, where her heart belongs.. I wish I could let her roam free again, but the bad guys will get her and she will be in the pen, another time and maybe she won't have the same chance to be saved this time.. So she gonna stay with us at the Ranch, and continue to live free in the big pastures we have..

The ringing bell announced the start of the race, the doors opened and all the horses rushed at full gallop on the track. The thunder began to rumble and after 500 meters, the rain fell on the ground. The horses and their jockeys were soaked but the race continued, there were still 1000 meters left before the end. Most of the runners were slowing down because of the torrential rain when suddenly a beautiful gray mare took the lead in the race, it looked like she was floating on the track, she finished first when she had started last.

Moral of this story? Even if you got off to a bad start, never give up, believe in yourself because you can do it !

We had a call from our friend and owner of Red Cedar Ranch, Ziel, to know if we could help him out in hay as the delivery person was going to be late for the delivery and that he was going to run out of hay for his stable who was growing up really well ! As we had a bunch still, we took the sled out and filled it with hay, all ready to be bring safely. We picked up our Belgian mare and harnessed her so that she drags the load. We went through the forest for a few minutes then we arrived at Red Cedar Ranch. Our friend was going to be able to feed his horses.
