A lost teddy bear left in a shop's fruit basket... ready for the owner to collect?... The next day the teddy was gone, so the owner must have come back!
This part of the face is about 7 cm.

Since we just got the new imac we now are able to shoot in RAW which I have wanted to do forever!
Me and ash both got some excellent shots yesterday of our little teddy bear :)

Children everywhere dream dreams. Occasionally however, the phenomenon of a Nightmare occurs. Unbeknownst to many, these nightmares take real form on the far end of the galaxy. They threaten to destroy the hopes of little boys and girls everywhere. But plushy heroes stand between us and an abysmal fate. We owe a great deal to the league of fluffy teddy bears who daily battle nightmares throughout our universe.

As I do most every day, I’m thinking about that wonderful, funny, smart, kind and sweet cat I was so fortunate to have spend his life with me, on this his designated birthday, (December 12). In just a few days it will be three years already since he passed, and I miss him as much as ever. (You who have lost dear pets know just what I mean.) I have so many photos of him, both in film camera prints and in digital images. Today, this one caught my eye, and reminded me of what a skinny young cat he was when we got him, and how quickly he grew into his name, becoming a plush (lol, chubby), cuddly Teddy bear. I couldn’t resist posting more in the comments …

A window display in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, and the title of the photo is a nod to a little teddy bear I had a LONG long time ago, as a child. He was yellow with a little white belly, and his name was Yellow Teddy. :) I "think" that Mom may still have him in a box somewhere, so I DO hope to see him again one day. A comforting thought.
Wombats are so cute, it just hard to handle sometimes. After spending 4 days in there company on Maria Island, it was hard to leave without hiding one of them in my backpack :)
We found this sad teddy bear sitting right behind the glass of an old window in some old house... I couldn't pass it by... My family told me to title this image Saddy...

Happy Macro Mondays everyone! This little bear was a gift from my daughter to my husband when she was little, and so it seemed fitting to photograph it sitting in my husband's hand!
Besides being cuddly and cute, they offer unconditional love, reassurance, security and companionship. Many adults still have fond memories of their own teddy bears they loved as children.
Teddy bears have a depth of character that other toys don't have, and in playing with one a child brings it to life. The bear helps to stimulate and develop their imagination. “Teddy bears encourage this type of imaginative play by their very nature, in a way a gadget or electronic toy can't.”
