Here is a pic of one of the towers at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, now known as Lane Tech College Prep.
The two towers are on the north side of the building, facing Addison Street.
I have several dozen pics of other things from Lane Tech in my Flickr album, Lane Tech, and a link to that is somewhere on this page.
I drew inspiration from photographs of people at work by Lewis Hine and W. Eugene Smith. I chose to document a lighting technician for a popular television talk show. He works in an isolated space, interacting more with machines than people, yet his actions affect an experience shared by millions of viewers every night. I was working in tight space with low light, so I pumped up the ISO, opened the aperture and relied on slow shutter speeds.

Here is a pic of two of the exits at Lane Tech High School in Chicago, now known as Lane Tech College Prep.
The exit at bottom center is exit "A" and you can see exit "U" near the bottom left --- it has two lights on; with some difficulty, you may be able to read the letter "U" sign beneath the lamp on the doorway's right side
All outside doors have a red letter sign to indicate what exit it is. Exit "A" is on the north side facing Addison Street, adjacent to the auditorium. The letters then go west, south, east and north around the building. The last letter used is letter "U" on the northwest corner of the auditorium.

Our photo club theme for the month of January was "Technology", so I broke down some eWaste (including my long-retired first MacBook and long-dead launch season Nintendo Wii) to attempt some macros and to gain a little experience with my iFixit precision kit–I'm generally terrified of opening any electronics up or replacing components.
I tried to use the Wii's heatsink and my LED light wand for more of an abstract.
